The ship reported expected arrival the morning of May 18th. The MarineTraffic app is predicting the 22nd. Don’t even know yet if my vehicle is on this ship, but I am going to pretend until told otherwise!
Headed to Davisville!

I had a V280 and V290 for entering and exiting the CT shop. Not sure what that is but has fluctuated between a day and a couple weeks at various points in time. Is that on your schedule?
@TC Fan, you can go to www.pwl.de/en, scroll down to Shipping Portal and Schedules. Under trade lane, select one of the US options. Then select Volkswagen Export. That shows an old schedule (hopefully will be updated soon), but the ships that transport for VW between Emden and the US are...
Production began approximately two weeks prior to shutdown. I never received the actual V code during shutdown but PCNA told me it was not complete. So my assessment is that it was 'really close to completion' at the time of shutdown.
PCNA told me today that the factories are slowly reopening. My 4S was in process at the time of shutdown , completed yesterday, and is scheduled to ship in May. But since it actually completed yesterday, I expect it is accurate that the factory is open.
It is true!!
I just spoke with PCNA who confirmed that factories are slowly reopening. My 4S completed yesterday with expected delivery in June. (Original estimated completion date was 2/14.)
Both times I have spoken with PCNA, they have been incredibly nice and helpful.
Prior to today, I was able to find the application for certification submitted by Porsche (no longer available online). They used the same two test results that were submitted with the application for the Turbo and Turbo S. Btw, both these tests showed 295.3 and 281.1 miles of range and were...
I think this press release indicates it has been received - although not posted yet on the EPA's website.

Porsche Taycan 4S Arrives At U.S. Dealers
April 17, 2020
Atlanta, Georgia. Today marks the introduction of an exciting new addition to the Taycan model line, as the new 2020 Porsche Taycan...
Yep. I am certainly not expecting that Kind of number from the EPA. I wonder if the EPAs difference between the 4S and Turbo will be similar (6 miles)...
FWIW, my sales associate told me the exact same thing about April 17th before they closed. And I think the date was originally April 10th before being changed to the 17th. It must be correct!
I imagine what the representative meant is that the EPA cert is expected on the 17th.
289.7
just found this: 2020 Taycan 4S CARB certified for 289.7 miles of range
The Taycan 4S was CARB certified on March 16th for 289.7 miles of range (see certificate below).
To compare, the 2020 Turbo and Turbo S were CARB certified for 281.8 / 273.8 miles range.
Here is one update on the closure. I hope its correct, and that they have a way to keep employees safe.
Porsche
The automaker said on March 18 it would stop production at its German plants to keep its workforce safe and healthy. The work stoppage was to last at least two weeks, but on April 6...
You can call PCNA at 1-800-PORSCHE and they can look it up using your commission number. Mine should have completed before the plant closure but did not. A very nice person at PCNA said it’s now scheduled for completion 4/23, but said it’s anyone’s guess as to when it would really be.
It is strange there is not an updated schedule on PWL.de.
The current schedule has this note:
*Closing Emden: 2 Werktage vor Schiffsabfahrt bis 16h!
(* Closing Emden: 2 working days before departure until 16h!)
I agree with you - just give it to your tax preparer if you spent the money. I am a CPA who can't figure it out, but after spending an hour cranking the numbers through my draft 2019 return, think I am going to get the benefit of the credit. The rest of you high rollers may not be so lucky...
