I have to agree with ciaranob - it's a bit of a strange post. I can't really relate to the bullet points. My car has been great to date. I have (and still have) had a few other Porsches. I didn't buy any of them for their great software. I bought them for their driving dynamics.
Sure, I...
This is the exact purpose of using timers. Set a timer for 85% at 6:30am, repeat it everyday, and you never have to manually figure out when to plug in the charger. The car will do it all automatically and start charging the car based on the current SOC and availabe kW rate.
I did the same as you and picked up a Wallbox Pulsar Plus. It has worked great so far.
Since I already have a Mustart for road tripping, the PMC+ has been put in it's new permanent home - the back of the closet.
I would bring a J1772 extension cable. I had to use mine on two different trips as the spots in front of the hotel's EVSE were taken by ICE cars. I had to park a few spots down and use my J1772 extension cable.

Ya, looks a little different than yours on closer inspection. Yours has 10 spokes, the one I posted is only 8 spokes. The Telsa one looks very different and is only 5 spokes.
They are sure marketing it as compatible to the Taycan, as that's what they are showing its specifically for.
I saw this today, and wonder if it's the same wheel you put together (selecting the "tools" adds $100 to the price) :

That is why I posted my experience - to remind others not to make the same mistake I did. These tires wear fast and on the inside edge, which is hard to see.
I am sorry for your loss of someone who died from this type of thing.
This is not my first performance car, nor does it see track. I currently have a 718 Spyder, and a 981 GT4 before that (that saw regular track duty), and a number of 987 Caymans before that, all seeing track duty.
This Taycan just takes me back and forth to work, and the occasional road trip...
Yup, I checked when you originally posted your thread, and occasionally since.
I did not notice any handling or noise until it started to leak. This car just goes back and forth to work.
I just want to bump this thread up and remind people to take DerekS's advice to check your tires often. I didn't, and this was the result:
I have 19,024 miles on the car.
