Should've given you a shout-out for pulling off the de-badged GTS?
Does a fully loaded 4S with the 93kw battery have all of the same components as a turbo, just coding and $30k?
We could probably all agree that upbadging ICE cars is sacrilegious. The grey area in EV's is different. The vast majority of components in these cars are the same, the rest is 01's & 00's.
IMO if the car looks really good, it can pull off the de-badging. I think that would be my choice. Give...
I agree. In principle.
And I think the GTS should be out of the question, it's just too different, in too many ways.
But for arguments sake, what if you up-badged from a 4 to a 4S?
Or in my cars case: a 4S with every performance option added. The upgrade would give 611 full time horsepower...
...that is the question.
Hypothetically speaking; if you did get or would get the upgrade from @redshift-performance, would you re-badge your car to match its new-found personality or de-badge it, so as to avoid a future personality conflict?
Hi Monique,
I am in Ft Collins and have been driving on the Continental all seasons for 2 years and they have performed well in some nasty conditions. I also have a cabin in the mountains that has a steep driveway and the car has no issues with that as well. On New Years Eve I was driving back...
You are mostly correct. Although there are some drive train alterations that do help. Copied from google:
Ground clearance: Increased ground clearance of 10 mm with the chassis at "medium" level
Off-road design cladding: Integrated into the lower valance, side skirts, and rear diffuser
Gravel...
I have a cabin that is on a pretty rough/rocky road and i regularly take the car on fishing trips that require "off-roading." The car does just fine, I just have to take it slow and avoid going over big rocks. Some of my mountain neighbors have very steep, rough driveways and the car cruises...
I've been using this detector for a couple years and it has saved me more times than I can count. A few weeks ago, I was driving on I70 coming out of the mountains and was pulled over for 85 in a 65. Was a lil surprised because the detector never made a sound. So I asked the officer what he used...
You're only breaking the law if you get caught ?. I use a radar detector and will drive the planned stretch of road before the actual run to scout for cops and other potential hazards. You would only be breaking the law for about 5 seconds, pretty sure that doesn't even count in the court of...
I've got a '23 4S and the guessometer showed 324 miles a couple weeks ago. After about 30miles of driving the guessometer showed 240miles... obviously my car hasn't been paying attention to the way I drive.?♂️
Just a few hours ago at the bank, I was getting a deposit ready in the parking lot when a diesel, daully huge pickup truck with Trump stickers all over it pulled up next to me (occupying 2 handicap spots at once). He eyes were instantly locked on my car. His passenger and I go into the bank and...
Nailed it!
The 4S is like a librarian with no fashion sense but you get a couple drinks in her and she let's her hair down and your thinking "damn, she is hot and I never really noticed."
Metaphors are fun?
Happy to hear it (said the over weight share holder).
IMO, they are (were) 2 trick pony's, straight line acceleration and tech. Neither of which are high on my priority list but they are for the masses. It's good to hear they are addressing many of their flaws.
