Finally picking mine up on Friday after a long wait. Originally due end April but got PPFed today and Gtechniq before I collect :) Hopefully worth the wait.
I'm expecting a car via Grimsby but didn't get a call today. All going well, it'll arrive on the next sailing, be ready on the 1st July, vat will be at 15% and I'll get an OLEV grant :-) or not as the case may be.
Don't worry folks. VW will want to move the higher value/margin cars so we'll get our Taycan's soon enough. The ships are sailing so won't be long now.
Do you need GAP for the first year? I've never bothered with it but I've not spent this much on a car before. I thought your insurance paid for a new car if stolen or written off in year 1.
Also waiting for my Taycan which was on the production line in March when it shutdown and but it's now finished. I got an email welcoming me to Porsche Connect last night so I'm hoping that means the car is in transit rather than a car park. Have you received the welcome email or not?
I think insurance is fairly cheap just now. I was quoted an additional £50 to upgrade my £300 TT RS insurance by Direct Line. 4s with perf plus battery. It has six months to run so less than £500 for the year. I've also has a series of sub £500 quotes from gocompare. 52, no points.
Direct Line...
You'll get lots of varying view for sure but I think the battery is a must and I'd recommend the 14 way seats. I wasn't going to spec these but you need them to get the lumber control. Also, remember the night vision.........
The Andersen is approved for the grant. You get £500 off from Andersen directly and an exact £300 from the EST if you're lucky enough to live in Scotland. I ordered the unit in December and it was delivered last week. Just waiting to get it installed.
