Had this problem for months and it took two tries at the dealer to fix. First try was the B Piller, where I thought it was coming from. They replaced all the B Piller connectors, and it wasn't fixed. Second try did the trick:
"Removed and replaced the right door panel, placed a medium density...
SR20 is a spectacular drive. I'm camping out in the Taycan on SR20 opening day to beat you to the charging station(s?)! ?
Electric Vehicle Charging - Cascade Loop
I've owned a highly optioned 4S+ since August 2020, now with 32,000 miles. A terrific road tourer, I have taken two 5,000-mile extended road trips throughout the western US and Canada. Daily driver, except for many sunny day analog excursions in my '91 964.
Every time I get into it, I'm...
The LTE disappeared on February 17th. I'm pretty sure it happened right after an OTA map update. Took me a month to get an appointment, and two weeks at the shop for the fix, which also included the bumper recall. I'm guessing it's probably usually a one-day fix for the LTE.
The Porsche charger is defective, has been recalled, and the "fix" cuts the charging speed by 1/2. It looks like they are still selling these defective units.
You're better off using another manufacturer, and there are many better and less expensive chargers. State of Charge channel is a good...
Hope it's just a temporary Porsche hiccup. A more complicated issue requires dealer action. My LTE was out for a month but was resolved at the dealer and is a known issue with Porsche LTE. Has worked fine for a week now after two weeks at the dealer.
Per another earlier post of mine:
"Service...
LTE Issue resolved.
Service advisor could not describe the work, but in service report: "Verified LTE non-operational. Performed reset of ORU in OTA and deactivated the flight mode. LTE now functional. Customer to monitor."
I've been grounded...
Front bumper recall completed. Took a month to schedule and a little over a week to complete on my '20 4S+. (Not a well-organized service department and it didn't sound like they had actually ordered the part in advance.)
Parts included the steel impact beam, seals, bolts, and screws.
Labor...
Mines been out since February 17th. LTE symbol is missing on the PCM so Porsche USA said it had to go to the dealer. 3 weeks to get an appointment, with now one week in the shop.
It is the Verizon LTE issue.
I've not had My Porsche app connectivity since February 17th or to other over the air services like Apple, etc. I first tried reinstalling the app and then rebooting the PCM, didn't work.
Porsche knows about the problem as in a call to Porsche the rep said a lot...
It has happened before, but the app connects after the gremlins go to sleep. It has been a week this time, so the gremlins are awake and restless. I've got a service appointment in two weeks for the front bumper recall, and this will be on the list. Maybe it will fix itself by then!
Received today for my USA Spec 2020 4S+

Keep your 911 as others have suggested. Use it for sunny days! I've got a '91 964 911 manual and it's a fabulous car, drive it regularly in the summer and for PCA tours. But for a modern daily driver, the Taycan is a spectacular ride! Love the electric torque!
There is a link on Porsche USA's website to the Porsche Museum, from there you hit the tours section, where you can then sign up and reserve spots for € 15.00 per person Taycan factory tours on specific dates, max of 5 people. They also have a 911/718 tour. I've signed up for two spots for the...
Stopped by an EA south of the Seattle area yesterday. Old school "20 so had to use the Porsche app, and the app would not recognize the stations or connect to the charger. Maybe a Porsche network issue? Also had to call EA to get it fired up. 4 of the 6 EA chargers were down, with one of them...
