Purchasing Porsche Extended Warranty 2 Years Into Ownership?

All, Anyone experienced in purchasing an extended Porsche Warranty a couple of years post sale? I'm approaching 30,000 miles on my 4S+ after two years and given the range of bugs folks have experienced, I'd like to extend it beyond the 4-year US base Warranty that was included in the purchase...

PEC LA to Seattle, WA over 4 days/3 nights - Taycan GTS delivery trip

Congrats! We take the 101 Oregon Coast / Olympia route over the Astoria Bridge regularly between Manzanita and Seattle. It's a lovely curvy two-lane drive along Willapa Bay and through the forest. By setting up your stops in the navigation, you'll often get 250 KW (at a 20% state of charge) to...

S-H-O-C-K-E-R-O-O-N-E-Y - Wheel Alignment Cost & Time Taken!

Very important at the 2 year service to have the tech check the drains. The water intrusion fix has been a two part effort at my dealer. Part 1 of the fix was to remove the screens, clean out that area, and dry out the interior of the car. Took over a week. Part 2 in the shop now is to pull...

[North America] - this is getting embarrassing - Porsche nerfing/neutering the PMCC via OTA update?

I got that email today too. Ridiculous to spend that for something Porsche specified, we paid for, and only get half of it. Just a bun and no hamburger?! Sounds like a class action issue to me, in addition to something our WA Attorney General would be interested to learn about. I'm hoping...

Quinault Lodge is a terrific spot to stay on the Peninsula loop! Did that last year and parked in that spot. With this and the EA in Port Townsend, now a nice circuit.

Its a no go, at least on free charging. My 2020 never heard about plug & charge. You're spending the Queen's (I mean King's...) dollars. Get the Flo app, some pretty good chargers in BC and Alberta.

P Bellevue last week for a GTS Sport Turismo was 8-12 months, MSRP + $10,000, and $5K deposit. Don't mind the deposit, but no go for me on paying more than MSRP. As a repeat customer, I decidied to not buy there again.

    PSCB Brakes

No brake dust to clean on a daily basis is worth it for me. I'll only spec this in the future.

    Anyone miss Flappy Paddles?

Yes, it would be a big improvement, a big oversight. My daughter's KIA EV has them!

Louisiana Considering Annual Road Fee For EVs and Hybrids

Currently $150 a year on top of registration in Washington State. Similar to what a fossil car would pay in gas tax, based upon about 10k miles a year.

    Foot Garage Swimming Pool

An advisory warning to everyone to have the service team at your Porsche dealership check your "High Voltage Protective Plate Water Drain Plugs" on a regular basis. 21,000 miles in my 4S+ Taycan, which has been a joy otherwise. After a five hour, spectacular, 2 lane road adventure through the...

New guy here with a few general questions Panamera VS Taycan

I’ve got a 2020 4S+, now with over 20,000 miles. A amazing and terrific car. I was given a Panamera as a loner for the big software update, as I was headed out of town. After a week it was clear to me it was a 1990’s truck, compared to the superior handling and performance of the Taycan...

21” All season tires not a good idea?

I’m a Seattle area 2020 4S+ owner with 21’s, 19,000 miles, and the Continental all season. I’ve found them OK for driving in the rain, hot summer use, and the occasional “Snowmaggetons” in the lowlands. Wouldn’t trust them to go skiing at the pass. I’ve replaced them all, due to 3 separate tire...

    U.S. Emergency Flasher Recall - 21 Days

Decided while getting some new tires to have, what I assumed to be, a simple software update for the U.S. Emergency Flasher recall. 21 days for the emergency flasher, one day for tires. All good now. Love the car as it’s been trouble free in 17,000 miles. However, for the U.S. crew, I suggest...

I am watching the “sh*t show” that EA is live and in person

Over the last year, and near 16,000 miles with many very long road trips, I've expeience about a 30% success rate on first attempt with EA chargers. Usually I have to switch stations to get it to work. Sometimes trying all the stations to get it at above 100KW. Current max at EA on my most...
