fwiw I’m unable to access Track Your Dream right at this moment... I received the email last week and it has been working, even earlier this afternoon. It seems to be down at the moment for me.
I should also note that even though I received the email last week... my car had already been...
ah ok didn’t consider that.
would love to here if any iPhone users have had success in putting a Qi charger in the storage area and cleanly hiding the cable to the center console.
has anyone considered just putting a Qi charger in the storage area under the A/C screen? I like the idea of the phone being out of sight but reachable if needed. out of sight inside the center console seems less ideal and I seem to remember a thread dedicated to how difficult it is to access...
disclaimer: i am NOT a tax professional so to be absolutely certain i'd recommend talking to a tax accountant....
my interpretation is that, yes, having 3rd party/electrician do work in your garage for the purpose of installing EVSE qualifies
and i guess just to reiterate... i don't believe...
@faroutinNM thanks for the heads up! just got off the phone with Porsche NA and they had my commission number linked to my account already so the customer support rep is going to send my info off to the dept that handles the Track Your Dream process.
hmm maybe I never received a welcome email because I already have an account from previously owning a Panamera?
I’ll ask my dealer if there’s anything they can do to register my order with my account.
thanks!
Oh nice I have the same planned dates. And what tracking site on My Porsche are you referring to? I would love to be able to pull this info without bugging my rep.
the fact that there is so much uncertainty re: charger voltage/max kw has led me to add the option and just forget about it. though still curious to see what charging rates @ron_b sees at the same or similar station!
ah ok thanks for the info. i'll give it some thought.... and while i agree that $460 is not a lot relative to the price of the car it's more of the video author's comment that you simply wouldn't come across a > 50kw/400V in the US. if that were truly the case then i'd rather spend the money...
i'm in a similar boat to @jkjjpc as my build locks later this month. i wouldn't mind dropping options i'll never use and i did @ron_b 's recommended search for non-EA 120kw+ chargers, but does anyone know how to determine the voltage for these non-EA stations? I think they're mostly 125kW...
To my understanding, various EVSE have their own timer functionality to only allow supply of electricity based on a schedule you define. Additionally, the Taycan on-board charger has software (via PCM) that can also set profiles and timers to define a schedule for when you want your car to...
hi just wondering if you ended up testing mounting on the third row? also, would you happen to have photos of the front from a distance? really going back and forth about how I will be mounting the front plate here in Illinois!
I’ve not even taken delivery of my car but have been following the 12v issue threads .... I’ve seen some posts recommending using a booster (e.g. Noco Booster) and some posts saying do not use a booster.... is there consensus on this??
