    Porsche NFT, anyone?

It is a marketing program and also a means for new customer acquisition. Building brand awareness and staying relevant to younger, non-traditional demographics is important for Porsche. Porsche Macan customers have a median household income of $440K. And that's the entry level to the Porsche...

New Porsche Charging Lounge Experience by Out of Spec

I'm surprised I haven't seen you at the AUS airport! I was a regular at the Austin Admirals Club for many years. Re: Porsche charging lounge, I actually cannot see PCNA investing in this. The US is too vast a country for the utilization rate of such a facility to approach a reasonable ROI...

First Porsche Charging Lounge opens in Germany

Neat!! The QR code on the charging station links to: https://porsche.charging-lounges.com Until that video, I had forgotten about the Audi Charging Hub Lounge. That one is even nicer than the Porsche Charging Lounge! It's like Lufthansa First Class (Audi) versus LH Business Class (Porsche)...

Taycan Problems are overwhelming an otherwise great car

Re: energy consumption, use the trip display in the instrument cluster as you drive. My Taycan 4S would typically use 36-40 kWh/100 mi. If your consumption is much higher, that may be the cause of your reduced estimated range.

    I'm done....cant do it anymore

It comes down to being a hardware company versus a software company. In the former case, you ship it once with high-quality because you expect revisions to be expensive. In the latter case, you plan for a "launch & iterate" strategy with frequent software pushes where bugs are expected, but they...

    Porsche Software Testing

Here's a Porsche GitHub repo if you want to see how they do things: https://github.com/porscheofficial Most of it seems to be Porsche Digital + porsche.com website stuff. But at least you get a feel for how their PRs work. That said, the PCM stuff is not developed in the open source world. So...

Do you charge at your local Porsche dealer?

Porsche Austin is my home dealership. They're the nicest folks; like @DerekS mentions, there's not a convenient EA fast charger near the city center in Austin or Dallas, so the Porsche dealership is quite convenient. You do have to ask for the RFID card to start the charger. I checked out the...

We win again, new record by Turbo S lapping the Nurburgring

Any bets whether the Mission X is a reskinned Rimac Nevera? (Which I know the Pinninfarina Battista has already done.)

    I'm done....cant do it anymore

Has the Porsche dealership's service department attempted to diagnose this? I wish there was a way to save / send diagnostic logs immediately when a problem happens. This is SOP for all the HW & SW products that I work on. What has PCNA suggested regarding this? Have you sent them any photos /...

Another one from the same website.

Good solid article on 'Charging Logistics' for 2022-23 Taycans in the US

In a somewhat condensed form, this would make a great article for Panorama magazine. But I'm sure they'd get hate mail from the air cooled / ICE-forever crowd. ?

First Porsche Charging Lounge opens in Germany

What a nice setup! The aesthetic definitely reminds me of a business class airport lounge. If the lounge itself is full, one could always sit in their climate-controlled car while charging. Whereas this is what passes as non-Tesla fast charging in America:

@OP -- GLWS! The window sticker is wrong. Assuming it's the right VIN, this shows up as a Turbo S with a $218K MSRP! https://vinanalytics.com/car/WP0AC2Y10MSA62225/

    Cracked Windscreen

My windshield spontaneously cracked while I was parked during the day. The windshield had been replaced 2 weeks prior due to a rock chip. I suspect this long, growing crack was due to expansion from heat (105°F / 40°C ambient, possibly hotter due to direct sunlight). It originated at the...

    Blue Taycan on Porsche.com homepage

Anyone know what shade of blue is shown on the Taycan GTS on the Porsche.com homepage? It is stunning! It looks more vibrant / saturated than Neptune Blue, IMO.

4th Taycan Arrival: MY23 Gentian Blue

Love it!! The Mission E wheels in black look very sharp on the car! Is your deviated stitching in Gentian Blue or Speed Blue? My Gentian Blue 4S has only been gone a week, and it's still startling to not see it in the garage. I have a Shark Blue 992 T in its place now, so it's not too bad.

So what are the 2024 changes?

@daveo4EV - you had me going there for a bit! If all this were true, then I should be glad I only took a $40K bath on my 2020 4S trade-in! ? Re: PCM7 though, it could be considerably different compared to PCM6.

4S maxed out at 154 MPH

I haven't hit 154 mph in my Taycan 4S, but I have hit an indicated 152 mph on the back straight at Circuit of the America's. However, GPS (Harry's Lap Timer) shows this as 147 mph: This 3% delta seems consistent with whenever I go past a radar speed sign. e.g. 55 mph on my dashboard shows up...

    911 to Taycan?

I went from a 997.2 to 2020 Taycan 4S. ~3 years & 30K miles later, I'm going to trade the Taycan for a 992 Carrera T that I ordered. I will miss the effortless EV torque, the lower running costs, and the practicality. I'll get back a more emotional driving experience and the ability to do...

    Tag Heuer Connected Porsche Watch

Tag Heuer has a 30 day return policy. I have done this before, and they are good about refunding your money if you're dissatisfied. If you do a search for "Porsche" in the Play Store on the watch, the "My Porsche WearOS" app should come up. I don't know if it is restricted to just the...
