I love my 22 Taycan GTS and for the first 9 months I had no issues at all....

Now it seems I am always getting the

RED circle warning....
Pull over to a safe place and exist the vehicle

This is literally the7th time I have gotten this message in the past 3 months
and I have to either plug it in or wait for it to reset in about 20 minutes

But when you need to go somewhere and this happens its like F*&%K

So decided this car is just too unreliable and going to trade it in for a Macan

Similar feelings for me and sold mine a couple months ago. After my troubles PCNA would not do anything for me and my concern was big $ failures post warranty.

Sorry to hear this. Any idea what the issue(s) is/are?

Interesting to look at EV reliability compared to ICE. Lots of variables in this and sure that overall EV reliability will improve as ICE reliability has massively improved over many decades.....

Has the Porsche dealership's service department attempted to diagnose this? I wish there was a way to save / send diagnostic logs immediately when a problem happens. This is SOP for all the HW & SW products that I work on.

What has PCNA suggested regarding this? Have you sent them any photos / videos of this happening?

The Macan is a fine vehicle. It's nowhere as exciting at the Taycan GTS though.

I live in Hawaii the BIg Island to be specific...there is only 1 dealership and it is on the island of Oahu. I have called there and leave messages in service and never get a call back. Called Porsche in Atlanta and they can't do anything to help.

Very frustrating

Do you have other dealerships on your island? What happens when something goes wrong with the Macan? I’d look at other brands personally given your situation.

A lot easier getting a ICE vehicle fixed then EV...I lived on Kauai before for about 15 years and had a Macan there getting serviced was easy just find a younger mechanic that knows computers and the rest is usual pretty straight forward.

So sorry to hear about your problems!

I hope that over the next few years the structure for EV‘s in Hawaii gets much better. It is an ideal place for electric vehicles due to the prevalence of renewable energy (solar panels, can go literally anywhere ), and the financial benefit of avoiding really expensive repairs, not to mention gasoline.

I can see how that is a very major problem.
I would feel compelled to do the same in your position.

In fact I would be looking to move away from Porsche to someone with better logistics on Hawaii.

I'm almost there with you...so fed up with the car being in the shop.

I had a tuned Turbo Cayenne with a lovely full Fabspeed exhaust that accentuated the twin turbo v8 and loved working on that thing. If there was an issue, I gladly set my weekend up to adjust and fix. Sold it to purchase my Taycan Turbo and am highly regretting the decision.

I know the vehicle isn't perfect, but I just wish there was more manufacturer or at least dealer support when things start going south.

Good afternoon! Don't despair, that's not the case. I'll tell you about my adventures. I have Taycan Turbo 2021, I have owned it since May 2021. Before that, since 2010, he owned Cayenne S, 911 4S and Panamera Diesele, in May 2021 the last two models sold and bought Taycan, on the speedometer today 56,500 km of mileage. During this time, in the first 4 months, I changed the windshield twice, changed the windshield washer motor twice under warranty (consequence of untimely replacement of liquid with the winter version), after 9 months I changed the front discs and pads under warranty (there was gnashing in winter), and a year and three months later received a How I got out of this situation - I ordered this used block in Poland, the field of its installation the car was charged only with direct current, a week later I accidentally found another promotional unit (removed from the car on the recommendation of the manufacturer) in another Porsche salon in our city, we have three of them. After installation on my car, I drove with this unit for five months - a yellow malfunction screen appeared once or twice, but then it disappeared. In February of this year, I received a new unit from my salon and have no questions about operation. You need to insist in your salon on replacing this unit. There are no perfect cars, but transferring to Macan is a step backwards. Today I can't get an update from the manufacturer, the My Porsche application hasn't been working since the beginning of this year, and initially you could only see where the car is and see the home charger cycles from the factory charger. But I still think it's one of the best cars on the market today. And I also consider Porsche service to be one of the best, try to find contact with the service staff, Porsche values its reputation very much.
