You're correct. There are many assumptions about battery recalls due to what happened to Chevy Bolt and Jaguar i-Pace and they both used LG battery like Taycan (different battery chemistry). Both of these companies issued software updated first but end up replacing the entire battery or buy back.
"Take over steering" happens to me so often that I've encounter in all kinds of situation. I had pressure on the steering wheel in many cases, few times when I was changing lanes. I'm so use to sudden lost of power, I'm able to correct it quickly without put me into danger situation.

Maybe should blame the Chinese copying MB styles all these year, now every company from every country look the same, especially SUVs.
MB EQ line has very unique character style and looks, but not in the good way. Thank god no one is copying EQ style.
Porsche is not low volume. In 2024, Porsche delivered a total of 310,718 vehicles worldwide. Porsche is trying to sell as many cars as they can with high margin.
Porsche and German cars are known for advanced engineering, but everyone pretty much caught up when compare apple to apple in term of price.
In term of technology, Porsche is far behind from the leaders. Porsche software engineers are not on the same level of Tesla and many Chinese companies...
It happens to my Taycan all the time plus all kinds of weird action with each windows, it's not consistent with each window. I gave up on trying to figure it out. They do work 95%.
I was researching the 3rd party display, but I'm worry that it will only last a period of time due to software updates.
It's stupid that Tesla rather install a second display in the back, but not in front of the driver.
My experience:
After you enter the car, CLOSE THE DOOR, and press the brake, the ignition will switch on automatically.
When the driver's door is open, you'll have to press the power button to power on the car.
I left a Tesla unplugged for 2 weeks many times before and never experienced such huge battery drain, I thought 68% is good enough, and expecting around 10-15% battery drain during this trip, expect the battery around 50% when I return.
I parked in my garage, I have "Exclude Home" enabled.
My Tesla was charged at 68% and dropped to 16% in 10 days, I had to ask a friend to go to my house to charge before I return. Never seen such aggressive drop in my pervious Tesla.
Just came back from a 12-day trip. I unplugged the dash cam, my Taycan dropped about 1% during this time, while Tesla dropped 50% but I think my wife forgot to close the Tesla app might have something to do with it.
Had my Taycan serviced by a service center a month ago for another issue, they checked the open recalls including ARB6/7. Returned the car back to me 100% fully charged.
Ford already filed a patent to funnel advertisement to infotainment screen or speakers in 2023. It would gathers info like speed, GPS position and destination, then comes up with a advertisement.
