It's the industry trend, screens are getting bigger and bigger. Bigger screen means easier to read and more information can be displayed.
How to fit the large screen(s) and into interior design nicely is a different story. Most cars just stick a large rectangular LCD screen(s) on the dash...
It's sad the western car companies are slowing down on EV technology and redirect R&D back to ICE and hybrid vehicles, Chinese car companies are pushing forward.
My 2 cents. I'm more concern about the salt corrosion on the bottom of the car like battery, brakes, suspensions, joints, bolts, nuts... etc
I live in sunny southern California, but whenever I leave ski area with salt covered road, I find a place to wash my car.
I like to check Porsche new and certified pre-owned site and see what's available for a few years. I started when used Taycans were 10k more expensive than the MSRP.
I believe the depreciation hit the all-time high around 6 to 10 months ago, and it's been steady. Still bad, but not worse.
I don't think Porsche wants to move into exclusive market. Their goal is to sell as many cars as they can, that's why they are selling Cayenne and Macan. If Taycan sales continue to grow, they will do everything they can to expand the manufacturing to meet the demand.

Oh no, I assumed Taycan has 8-year/100k miles battery and drivetrain warranty. Tesla has 8-year/120,000 warranty on both.
Just googled Taycan only has 4-year/50k miles on powertrain. Another reason not to own a Taycan after warranty expired.

Most Gen X and baby boomers appreciate the luxury aspect of a car. Millennials, Z and Alpha prefer new trend and technology.
I think Porsche got excited over their overall sales since car shortage after pandemic, and Chinese market. Porsche entire lineup is getting really expensive.
Taycan's price is in line with their products
I don't think Taycan is able to connect to home Wifi
First OTA update should be allowing Taycan to connect to Wifi, updating PCM through wireless internet is too slow and unreliable.
But on the other hand after experiencing Porsche's software engineering, maybe it's a good thing they don't...
I agree with everything, and the list goes on.
Many people including myself has a list of things that Taycan can improve, but still love the car because of driving experience.
But the funny thing is I've never seen a single Taycan drives fast or make aggressive turn on a road, I'm not referring...
Fortunately, I just received my 6 months renewal statement from State Farm. Although my insurance on Taycan went up 30% 6 months ago, and it go up another 30% this time. No accident for 30+ years and 0 DMV point. All inflation.
