  1. Regeneration in Range mode

I understand. Auto regen does the no regen EXCEPT for slowing down and coming to a stop without having to touch the break. So its convenience.
  2. My mamba green with meranti brown turbo s has arrived :)

Many congrats, that color was my second choice. Enjoy in good health (and hopefully without speeding tickets).
  3. Regeneration in Range mode

This is all correct, but I always find myself turning on the Auto Regen in Eco. That way it coasts for efficiency BUT it will regen if there is a car in front of me to keep distance. Best of both worlds and its what I would have chosen for range mode. But that goes against the “simplicity to...
  4. RACE TEX or CHALK INTERIOR

I have the Race Tex and it doesn’t really look like that picture. Anything in particular you would like to know that would help with decision?
  5. Taycan Turbo S owner's review of the 4S

Two things: 1) Stop using my words and decisions against me! 2) As my parents would say: do what I say not as I do! And honestly the Porsche is not my daily driver, it’s a pure toy. I am an EV enthusiast, and this was my first Porsche ever solely because its all electric. If It was going to...
  6. Does Taycan Turbo S have 500 times limit of launch control use?

It also makes no engineering sense. The extra horsepower is a burst put into a bigger motor, there is no “damage” or loss. There are thermal considerations so the duration is short. It sounds like misinformation one way or another.
  7. Taycan Turbo S owner's review of the 4S

there are different definitions of “fast.” In a straight line only a couple, around a very hairpin turns there are a few options. also not off the line but when the McLaren or R8 engine kicks in the Porsche will lose....
  8. Taycan Turbo S owner's review of the 4S

More power to you, but as an “old fart” I pick which car I use for what kind of “activity.” I don’t always need to do core workouts while driving.... just saying. ?
  9. Taycan Turbo S vs. McLaren Senna DRAG RACE ?

Thanks, amazing. 1 million vs 220k...
  10. Helping a fellow Taycan Owner - Charge Port

very nice of you, I do this ALL the time (leaving the DC port flap down)
  11. Taycan Turbo S owner's review of the 4S

It does, depends on the shift and firmware.
  12. After driving 2 months how i would change my spec

Agree on charging cord, I just grabbed an extension (for charging cord itself) from Amazon for under $100.
  13. Model year 2020 wireless carplay

consider getting a MagSafe charger to plug into front console and will keep charging even as you accelerate!
  14. Taycan Turbo S owner's review of the 4S

I don’t remember exactly but I think there was a 15-20k premium from Turbo to Turbo S with almost identical specs when I was looking (that is what I recall was the cost of the little bit of extra kick). I believe the premium from 4s to Turbo (just drivetrain) was same or larger. So I’d be...
  15. center console heating up

The 12 pro is capable of higher rate charging, and it has slightly different design/structure. This is a very think hard plastic case designed for charging. I can use the magnetic and normal charging with the case.
  16. center console heating up

In my case i have a very thin case that I use for wireless charging elsewhere. It may be that without gravity the phone is not as close to The coil even with the retention clip.
  17. center console heating up

I haven't checked the console but my iPhone 12 Pro Max gets VERY warm when wirelessly charging.
  18. Taycan Turbo S owner's review of the 4S

So I wanted to just cap off the observations as I dropped off the 4S and picked my car up. It was interesting going the other way too. First there was not a huge difference in getting back into the Turbo S (ignoring the raw power). But everything was just a bit “more” but nothing dramatic. I...
  19. Model year 2020 wireless carplay

I have found the start time is very inconsistent, with occasional need to unplug/replug to get it to work (but rarely). So the delay is a “feature” that may get resolved with firmware updates. I have seen it start up almost instantly so I have no idea why the variability.
