By the way seeing this makes me uneasy. My car is tinted, except the rear glass since I had it replaced last month. Haven’t had time to tint it yet, but honestly the look doesn’t bother me much. One positive I’ve noticed is that at night the auto dimming mirror function seems to work better than...
You can see the dual pane in the glass edge. I went through this last month, only that I had Porsche do the work. The glass edge where it goes into the trunk has the visible dual layer, that’s your cue.
My rear winshield was done 2 weeks ago. Total 4k between parts and labor (insulated glass so a bit more expensive). Insurance covered all but $500 deductible.
Interesting discussion here between @prj and @RED!.
I haven’t personally driven a car with PAR, so this is based on what I’ve read and seen. From this perspective, it’s clear that a car with PAR should give better traction, allow for higher cornering speed, and as a result produce better lap...
I would argue these are actual enthusiasts you are referring to here, not most Americans. People who watch car Youtube videos and vent about the lack of analog experiences in cars are not most Americans, instead they are car people, aka enthusiasts. I think we have to understand we are the...
Thanks for sharing! I actually got my car today back from the dealership due to something else unrelated, and they performed a couple of updates one of which is a recall. ASB2: the rear camera thing, and WSS6: 12v sensor reprogramming. I didn’t mention this issue though..
Honestly this has nothing to do with ACC, if it were FSD then yeah. There’s no better feeling than delegating the stop/go to my car on annoying bumper to bumper traffic on a highway, especially with how well the Taycan does it where it doesn’t leave a gap, nor there are sudden hard brakes. If...
This question comes up to mind a few times. Everyone that has it, seems to love RAS. But I hear very little about PDCC. I have a 4S with the Perf package which includes PDCC, RAS, PTV..
I always wondered when the time came to upgrade, whether keeping PDCC would be a must. Granted, I haven’t...
In order:
Perf battery plus
ACC (cannot live without it since I have stop/go sections in my daily highway commute)
RAS
Bose or Burmester
Insulated glass
Ventilated seats
Sport Chrono
PDCC/PTV+
