  1. PSCB Brakes Defective/Failed - 34k 2021 Taycan Turbo - Dealer and Porsche Refusing to Cover

Exactly the issue I see here. If it carries a higher risk of failure, and then it’s deemed wear and tear when it goes bad, is it worth it? I mean, $1K out of pocket ain’t much, but I think these run into high 4 digits to replace.
  2. Porsche Might Build A U.S. Plant Due to Tariffs

Yep, Audi Q7 is also built there.
  3. My turn! Transmission Error AND Engine Control Error

Did you notice anything unusual with the transmission or the car in general in the days/weeks leading up to this? Anyway, good luck with getting prompt resolution.
  4. AMG electric Fastback - June reveal.

Agree. The Mercedes interior is too much in your face. Tacky even.
  5. How do I get rid of this

Dang. If this is the case then I got fd by DiscountTire. I purchased after market new sensors recommended for the car last July, and Discount Tire supposedly used them when they fitted new tires on new Mission Es I got for the car. One thing that was fishy in the whole thing is the sensor caps...
  6. How do I get rid of this

Confused as to whether this is a scheduled service type of alert, or the car detecting my TPMS batteries running low. I’ve disabled all alerts in the menu where you set alert preferences but this thing pops up every day.
  7. Braking while downshifting

    Nope. Hot and sunny SoFlo.
  8. Freeze date in 2 weeks. Here is the spec update

The only time I see this is after a wash. Literally drive off my driveway and it’s gone. PSCB look nice tho. Also, understand the car uses physical brakes every single time you come to a stop, on or below 5mph.
  9. Braking while downshifting

Right. Normally I have no issues with recuperation braking, unless the downshift is in the middle. It also isn’t the first time this happens to me, this one was just too big to forget creating this post. Maybe my car takes longer to sync gears than others if no one else has had this problem.
  10. Freeze date in 2 weeks. Here is the spec update

Agree. I’m always prepared for weird brake feeling every morning because at least 3 times I brake initially the car is using the physical brakes. If ppl go with PSCB for looks, then totally understandable, but rust shouldn’t be a concern.
  11. Braking while downshifting

Today I was driving in the highway in Sport+, the car was in second gear. Traffic is building up ahead, so I start braking to reduce my speed. My speed was around 50mph when I let the brake pedal go and let the car coast for a split second before engaging the brakes again. It turned out to be a...
  12. Saw a J1.2 in the wild for the first time

Only had seen them sitting on dealerships before. It was a shade of blue, with silver Spyder wheels. It was probably a base since I didn’t see any red calipers or the more aggressive front end. It was… so uninspiring…. Here I was thinking when the moment came I would happily switch to a J1.2 4S...
  13. Redshift vs MapEV

I drive exclusively in Normal or Sport Plus depending on my mood. With the tune is like I have that extra confidence when mashing the throttle. What surprised me the most, honestly, was how good the car feels in Normal mode. You sort of expect the stronger pull given the 200hp gain, and expect...
  14. Redshift vs MapEV

So to see if I got this right. When the tune puts the inverters in LC mode (full throttle), what we’re getting there is the increased torque. That means, taking the J1.1 4S as an example, when not flooring it you get the usual 640nm, but the ability to produce that torque at higher speeds (rpm)...
  15. Redshift vs MapEV

There’s a bit of that as well. I get your point, the only thing I’d say is just because the driver isn’t inputting more throttle doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t want more power. When you know the limits of your car, sometimes you know trying to demand for more is just pointless in terms of...
  16. Redshift vs MapEV

I’m not sure this is accurate. I rarely fully floor my car due to PTSD caused by the original inverters (now fixed) and the difference in power is very noticeable. It seems you’re suggesting the power increase comes only when LC is activated (full pedal). I speak from what I perceive but I could...
  17. Redshift vs MapEV

I’m 10 days into the wolf on sheep clothing club with MapEV (J1.1 4S). The car feels amazing, and when I’m not driving like a maniac I still get my usual mi/kwh consumption. e.g 3.1 mi/kwh reported on a 25 mile drive this morning.
  18. Electrical Systems Error - Park Vehicle in a Safe Place

This sucks. If the inverter is indeed faulty, then the quoted amount is in the ballpark of what it would be. For reference, I had both inverters replaced in my car 2 months ago, and while I didn’t see an official doc with an amount, the SA did mention the bill to Porsche would be ~20k USD. The...
  19. PB+ capacity

Agree. Which paints the picture that mileage has less impact on battery degradation than things like heat and high state of charge for long periods. Take my car for example, 85 SOH with 22k miles. The issue, it’s always been in a hot climate, and the previous owner could have abused the battery...
