Back into service, out with a loaner Macan base this time.. Spoke with the tech supervisor and mentioned likely both motor power electronics will be replaced (I guess the inverters). Bill will likely be around 20k, damn..

Lol. I wish that were the case. I can see 120 miles logged in the app while it was out for service, across a few days that is.

I just went out looking for it and boom! First day of having the car. Porsche spent 2 weeks with it… Normal drive mode, recuperation on (I always use this), and around 30mph gradually floor the throttle. Took a few tries until it hit.

Got the car back. No repairs done. They cleared the codes. Was told by the SA the moment it happens again to bring it in without an appointment.

In other words, this ain’t Amazon.com

Still have 2+ years of warranty left, but needless to say I won’t own this car without a warranty.

Apparently if they cannot replicate it, they cannot ask Porsche to pay for the repair in this case, given that this type of fault can be caused by many things. This os what the SA told me.

Update. Technicians have been driving the car for the past 2 days, they haven’t been able to replicate the issue. I guess if they can’t replicate it, nothing can be done, even though I have photos/video evidence and codes are stored in the PCM? They will keep trying for a couple of more days...

I’m now coming back circle to this. So, when the downshift happens, all of the sudden the rear motor got more torque, causing the rear axle to spin faster, therefore causing the front tires to also spin faster, and the front motor is not ready for that sudden change. Did I get that right?

I took the first measurement last week on about 65% SOC. Delta was about 0.042 so on the edge. I figured if I were to take it on a lower SOC I could see yellow modules. Today I had a chance to do so ~30% SOC… Bought this car CPO from Porsche 3.5 months ago. My guess is a combination of 2022...

Super easy. You can always put it back. I placed painters tape over it before removing to maintain the spacing of the letters in case I do, but doubt it.
