Anyone else in the US whose cars were in production when the shutdown started? Another forum member's build schedule says his car will start the end of this week, and is expected to be delivered to him in early August, ~before~ I get my car that started production on March 13!! There is...
That would stink (for me). Can you post a link to such a news report? Even if that were true, I’m not sure how it could explain my situation. My car was in production when the shutdown started. They would have to put it aside, partially built, then start building new cars for Euro customers.
Has anyone seen any progress in production since the shutdown ended? At the time of the factory shutdown, my car was in production and had a week to go according to the "expected date", in the build schedule. When production started back up, I asked for an updated build schedule, on April 10...
It won’t charge an android phone? I have an iPhone so don’t really care, but I’d think the charger would work with an android phone. Charging has nothing to do with android auto.
Black cars are beautiful, when clean. But, IMO, very difficult to keep clean. The first time you venture out in rain, or pollen, or dust, there goes the beautiful finish. And road salt in the winter is the worst. I owned a black car once, never again. I chose white for my taycan. YMMV.
Is this a new law? My BMW doesn’t beep like that. I don’t have my car yet but I might look into how to replace the speaker when I get it. It might be doable with some soldering.
I'm a developer as well, and I totally agree. The "workaround" of doing a complete reinstall is unacceptable, and frankly, bizarre. You just don't do that, regardless of the cause of the bug. I hope and expect that Porsche comes out with a real fix, assuming that they have developers still...
Buying the turbo and cancelling your 4S order sounds reasonable. Or not buying the turbo and waiting for the 4S. Any option that involves you selling either car doesn't sound like a great plan. I'd think you'd take a hit selling either, but I could be wrong. To me it comes down to whether or...
That looks sweet! The automatic retraction sounds really cool. Could that really work? Maybe in my future. I’m having the charger (EVSE) installed next week, that Porsche made us buy.
I don’t have the car yet. I just picked up the charger connect at the dealer so I could get it mounted. It was in a box. The dealer is telling me that the mounting brackets are a $180 add-on (see below). So you’re saying they should be included with the car?
