Yes. I know there have been lots of delays getting onto a ship, etc, but I haven’t heard of anyone else having an assembly line delay like mine.

Another option is to get colored PPF - paint protection film.

I wouldn’t worry about a heavy outdoor extension cord, but ymmv.

Huh? Why? For low power charging? We are talking about 10 amps.

If you have an extra long extension cord, you might want to try it on some other outlets.

Yes, ok, but I'm talking about the time my car will have been in the body shop, excluding the shutdown. So 68 days in the "body shop", while the factory is running. Your car was in there for less than two weeks, which is more like it!

When I say I will be 68 days in production, I’m talking about the time between entry and exit body shop. It looks like you were in production for less than two weeks. You got out right before the shutdown. Nice!

Ok, I just got off the phone with a nice woman at Porsche. She is claiming that all cars are being built on the same schedule, and should be entering and exiting production at the same rate. That goes against what people are saying in this thread and elsewhere. To reiterate- my car entered...

So it’s not projected onto the windshield?? That’s not a HUD. I’ve had HUD on my cars for 15 years and love it. My hands and/or the steering wheel block much of the dash screen, and it gives me an easy way to see my speed. Plus my eyes can focus much easier on the HUD than the dash, without...

If you get them painted, they could get pitted or scratched. Which is why I will probably get mine PPFd. Someone here had the excellent idea of just getting colored PPF instead of paying the cost of getting them painted.

My dealer send me a charger and power cord so I can get it set up before I get the car. The power cord has a NEMA 14-50 plug on it, but the sticker on the cord says it’s only rated for 16 amps. Is this the right one?

That's what I'm wondering too. I was originally supposed to have it early May. Now early August. The one month shutdown caused me to have a 3 month delay. What dealer are you? I'm Herb Chambers in Burlington.
