Thought this was a good demonstration of the effectiveness of the LED light options on the Taycan which might be useful when spec'ing a car . He shows two of the options.

Porsche Dynamic Lighting System PDSL+
The narrow English roads really show how these actually work.
Shortcomings? A gear box is used to change the speed of a motor which will increase or decrease the torque of that motor as there is a trade between RPM and torque.
Your earlier post was an unqualified nobody gets more than 300 miles on a Taycan. Than you qualified it to regularly getting 300 miles. There is a large difference between the two. Me thinks you are dodging and weaving.
And if you would like a link to an actual range test with a Taycan...
There is some kind of problem for some cars with this update and Porsche doesn't say what it is, so remain sitting in the dark. I have no campaign number either that I am aware of. Only the communication sent to all Taycan owners that the update was available. All I can say is my car has had...
Picked up my car and further information from the service guy.
This applies to Canada but I don't know why the US would be different.
If your car is scheduled for the update you will receive a notice that it has been cancelled.
When the update is ready you will receive a new letter letting...
I dropped mine off this morning, Wednesday 28th and they told me it was canceled because of problems with the update. This dealership is corporately owned by Porsche Canada, so it should be better than most.
Took my MY2020 in for its two year service and the software update. The SA said the software update was cancelled last week as there were reports of it bricking cars on the road and it won't be re-released until its fixed. Wondering if those who have had it done will be bringing their cars...
I would have said the load determines the demand. But there is software controlling this which makes sense as there are different batteries and chargers and each one needs to deal with every other one. Kind of sounds like EA/BTC got something wrong. Kyle's a smart guy and likes this kind of...
This is an interesting point as to how fast DC charging works. Here is a brief description of the communication standard for fast DC charging (Mode 4). The actual details as to how it works appear to be behind a paywall or at least I couldn't find a freebie version.
From All About...
Honestly, this is pretty sad for CCS charging. There is a lot of money to be allocated to the installation of fast DC chargers over the next couple of years. One can only hope there are robust standards and only those who meet those standards get funded.
You don't need CFD for this calculation. Just take the drag equation and substitute the new density for air and calculate how much extra energy is needed to overcome the higher air resistance of cold air. This energy is then no longer available for work to travel a distance.
There will be...
This is from two years ago on some test runs on my MY2020 4S on 20 inch tires with the covid lockdown when there wasn't much highway traffic. With the uPdate I would expect 3% further range increase but the per cent ages should remain the same. Battery was from 100% SOC to as near as 0%...
Looks like there might be. Here is a link one manufacturer https://wilsonamplifiers.ca/vehicle/
Need to find one that supports Porsches chosen provider. No idea if it would actually work.
Well this video is appro pro. Bit promotional but the topic has been somewhat touched on before. Just quoting standards isn't sufficient. You should be informed enough to ask your electrician intelligent questions, but best to not do it yourself. And make sure your electrician is experienced...
