I hope so! Thanks for the words of encouragement. It doesn't help that I see on Tesla's website if you order now, they expect delivery in June or July. They are clearly light-years ahead of Porsche. You'd think they were the ones with 90 years of experience.
My wife is having growing concerns about the quality of car we'd be buying. We've only ever had Hondas and Toyotas, and those have been rock solid. I'm getting nervous with all these recalls and stop sales... in my head I know it's probably not any different than any other car. But the...
I'm kinda leaning towards keeping all my cash and paying off the house as I originally planned to do before I got infatuated with the Taycan ? I really don't need a car, but wanted to treat myself for once in my life. My SA says he'll hopefully have more info tomorrow... we shall see.
I dont understand why so many got the June 14th date but I got June 22nd when my car was built before everyone's. Porsche is a freaking disaster. I think cancelling my order might save me long term headache dealing with this incompetence. Clearly these cars have some major problems they have...
Mine was pushed to June 22nd. How it takes 4 months to transport a car is mind boggling. My build was finished mid-February. At this point I am just done with all of this. Porsche doesn't deserve my money. I thought it'd be cool owning one, but if this is any indication of things to come...
? sound advice. The dryer is a much better option than the oven. My wife couldnt figure out why her quiche took so long to bake.
I don't know why but I feel compelled to tell everyone you're just joking! Can't be too careful on the internet nowadays!
Ahh ok yeah you're probably in the same boat as me then. That date on TYD and from the SA has come and gone with no further updates! At this point it's pretty irrelevant with the dates because no one knows anything. I figure I'll just get a surprise call sometime in the next few weeks telling...
It cost me about $1400 to do the install, and another $700 to purchase the ChargePoint. My power company will reimburse me the $1400 through their program. Also make sure the electrician uses copper wires, and at least 6 gauge.
Thanks for the info. I don't think my car falls into this category though. It was built in mid-February and is still stuck in Jacksonville. I am wondering if mine is due to lack of transportation options. I plan on calling the dealer today as they are open even though it's a national holiday.
I'm paying almost as much for this car as I did my first house. If my builder told me the house would take 3 months longer than originally estimated, but refused to tell me why, I would be firing up the lawyers. And its a hell of a lot easier building a Porsche than it is a house.
In this...
Ah thats a bummer. Maybe I'll give the Amazon one a try and see what the quality is like. I wouldn't mind a black one, but that also seems hard to find. My car is Volcano Grey too.
I'd love to get a quality die cast model of the Taycan to display in my office. Does anyone know of a good one to get? The Porsche online store has one for $95 USD, but that's pretty pricey for a 1:43 size model. I also found this, but I have no clue if this is more in the toy category or model.
You have to be kidding me. Is this some sort of inside joke we don't know about??? This is certainly putting me off from the brand. I expected better treatment and communication when spending this much on a company. Just goes to show you good customer service really is dead.
Mine has been stuck at the Jacksonville, Florida port for 2 weeks. I just talked to the dealer and they said it has still not been released for transport. No reason given to them as to why, or when. It could be not enough drivers, could be something else. Looking more like a June delivery...
Mine is stuck in Jacksonville as well. What is your delivery date in TYD? Mine is slated to leave tomorrow and arrive at the dealership Friday. But naturally I'm worried that won't happen.
