  1. 10% Non-Refundable Deposit for MY 2023 for an Allocation Reasonable?

My deposit for a MY23 4s was $2500 on a car that MSRP was about $138,000. IMO $10k is absolutely absurd.
  2. Taycan 4s wait time

I put my deposit down for a 4s allocation in July of 2022, locked my order early January 2023 and am expecting delivery this month after a 2 month delay. I'd recommend calling other dealers to see if they can get you a slot earlier. 2 years sounds very extreme given the improvements to the...
  3. Weatherproof Enclosure for Hubbell NEMA 14-50

Interesting. Would I put something like this in the bigger box? https://www.amazon.com/Hubbell-Raco-Two-Device-Switch-4-Inch-Knockouts/dp/B08TRC7DJX/
  4. Weatherproof Enclosure for Hubbell NEMA 14-50

Hi folks. I'm thinking about installing an external Hubbell NEMA 14-50 to use with my mobile charger connect plus once it arrives with the car. I'm having a hard time finding a weatherproof enclosure online that fits the larger than normal outlet size. Does anyone have a setup like this and...
  5. April 2023 Deliveries

Thats about the same as what a local shop quoted me for just the front as well. I am in NC too. I think I'll go with them given the amazing reviews.
  6. April 2023 Deliveries

Mind if I ask how much the dealer PPF was? Did you go full?
  7. Anyone successfully sell their base wheels?

This is very helpful. Thank you for the info. If I can get $1500 for hardly used tires, that wouldn't be too bad.
  8. Anyone successfully sell their base wheels?

Hmmm this is good information, thanks folks. Maybe a better option would be to get 19 inch after market wheels and reuse the tires on those so they don't sit there the next 10 years wearing down. I'm assuming that should be fine, right? This is all new to me, haha.
  9. Anyone successfully sell their base wheels?

Interesting, is this because the 19s are smoother/quieter?
  10. April 2023 Deliveries

Ah, makes sense. I asked because my SA said the Porsche rep was certain my vehicle had all of its parts when it left the production line in mid-February. I am hoping that means I won't see similar hold ups at the port.
  11. April 2023 Deliveries

I'm sorry to hear that and I hope the same doesn't happen on mine. How did you find out it has no heater? Or is it a guess based on the delays?
  12. April 2023 Deliveries

Very nice and congrats! I just might take the day off when mine gets here ?
  13. April 2023 Deliveries

    OH SH*T!!!!!!! It's happening people, it's happening!!!!!
  14. April 2023 Deliveries

Looks like Lake Taupo just left Emden and is slated to arrive in Jacksonville, Florida on May 9th. Good luck to anyone hoping to be on that boat! I guess it's time I shift over to the May Deliverables threat. Adios folks!
  15. Anyone successfully sell their base wheels?

I am thinking of selling the base 19 inch Taycan S Aero wheels and tires that come with my build as soon as it arrives. I'd prefer to pick up some 20 inch after market ones. Has anyone successfully sold these before? If so, how much were you able to get for them? Should I try selling them as...
  16. Second guessing your order?

ooophhhffff! The downside of not having any Taycans to look at in person when I ordered  I tend to keep cars for around 10 years, so I'm sure I'll be fine. I am after all coming from a low-end cloth CR-V. My wife's cars have always been the ones with leather.
  17. April 2023 Deliveries

Get in line buddy! I was first, haha. There isn't but so much room on these boats, so I hope we can all get our cars on it! Mine has been stuck since early February.
  18. Consolation for late delivery?

I received two of them as well. Not sure why the duplicate. They are nice, but probably not something I'll practically use. Perhaps I'll display it at my desk at work.
  19. Second guessing your order?

Ahh I did some research after your post and it looks like indeed aftermarket is the way to go. Thanks! I will definitely do that.
  20. Second guessing your order?

If I understand what others have said, aftermarket is significantly more expensive than pre-wired, isn't it?
