Thanks! This is a huge help. For sure looks better than the 19 inch aero wheels that come with it. I'm really thinking of going this route. If I ever want to move up to 20 inch, I guess I could always sell them. This might be the best wife-friendly compromise.
Does anyone have pictures of after market 19 inch wheels? Preferably high gloss black? I am not a fan of the standard wheels that come with the 4s. If I can keep the tires that come with the car and just swap out the wheels, that would make a very happy wife and save me a couple thousand...
That sounds like wise advice ? I think you convinced me to install the hard-wire. I do like the idea of having a better, more secure permanent charger. That would also be useful if any friends with EVs stay over. I just hope it holds up to the brutal salt air right on the beach. Anything...
I keep going back and forth regarding a hard-wired wall charger at the beach. I just installed one at my primary residence. Of course I haven't used it yet, waiting on the car. I was trying to not waste the PMC+ that comes with the car. Are there any scenarios a PMC+ would come I'm handy if...
Great! Thanks folks for the helpful information as always. The electrician said they have a waterproof enclosure they use for situations like this. It sounds like I'm all good to go!
I've searched the forums but could not find a conclusive answer. I'm waiting for my vehicle to arrive and have read the instruction manual but I couldnt find the weather rating of the PMC+. Does anyone know if you can use it outdoors?
I plan to have a weatherproof NEMA 14-50 enclosure...
Interesting... your post got me curious and I decided to check to see what mine says. Sure enough it says electric steering column as well in the car detail. My car doesn't arrive until next week but if it has a manual steering column I'll see what my SA says. I'm interested in what yours...
This is getting very old. Looks like my car is stuck in Jacksonville. After moving up a week to delivery on May 18th, it's now been bumped back to May 26th this morning . I almost wish TYD didn't exist. What a pain in the neck.
Anyone else stuck in Jacksonville for a few weeks? I'd...
Texted the SA and they mentioned it's a 24-hr turnaround from when it arrives at the dealer to pick-up. So if all goes according to plan, I could be picking up next Friday or Saturday. ?
My TYD just updated to show it arrived on May 11th. My delivery to the dealer has been bumped up from May 22nd to the 18th. Anyone know how long it takes before the car is ready for me to pick up after it arrives?
May I ask why the quick turnaround? Looking at your previous posts, seems like you were pretty excited for the car to arrive. Also, are you selling it for the price you paid?
Lake Taupo just left Jacksonville headed to Houston. Hope those on that ship hear their cars are on the way soon! Anyone get an update from TYD yet that was on that boat?
Thats not true. You can add it to the website and app after you get a VIN. And you can see where the car is on the map after it leaves Emden and is on a boat. I have been doing this for a couple of weeks while I wait for it to arrive in Jacksonville.
Are you sure it's really delayed 5 months? My TYD showed a delay of 5 months from March to August, but now I'm expecting delivery in 3 weeks. The date they delayed it to wasn't real, just a placeholder. In hindsight I am very glad I had members in this forum encourage me to keep my order.
