My Taycan RWD was built in the week ending 12th September. A few days later the VIN had an "urgent action" attached to it indicating it was missing the 12V battery. On Monday this week (3rd Oct), my dealer emailed me with an update saying it had "left the factory on 30th Sep", and it was indeed...
So MacMaster's latest video has just been uploaded. This time he talks about having the latest uPdate installed, and it's removed his keyless entry. However, he doesn't make clear whether he paid for Keyless entry in the first place. Is this a thing that has been happening with the uPdates...

Yeah, most probably not working correctly. In all the cars I've had with a track and trace GPS alarm, the call centre have called me within ten minutes of setting off when parked on the Channel Tunnel train. Sometimes it's within 30 seconds. It makes no difference whether the car is locked, not...
Yes, there are two elements here. First there's the tilt sensor which could trigger the alarm when the ferry is moving if not disabled. Then there is the tracking system which would send an alert to the call centre if the car is moving without the key. Obviously the latter is only an issue if...
I've just checked and it doesn't appear to be. There are no messages or any reference to my car. I've added the VIN, which is correct and it identifies as a 2023 Taycan, but it then asks for other info such as "proof of ownership". I see no messages relating to its progress.
My dealer told me a few weeks ago that Holland gets nothing like that when I asked him if there's any way of tracking my car. I'm sure in Germany they get it, but Holland is a small market. Maybe somebody has a different experience to me who lives in Holland?
If it's due to leave the factory in two weeks, I doubt it has even been built yet. Maybe someone can correct me, but it doesn't take over two weeks to build a Taycan. I assume you're assuming it has been built because it has a VIN, but they get allocated long before they're built.
As a data...
What a thoroughly enjoyable trip report that was to read. Thanks a lot for not only going to the trouble of posting it, but to present it in such a way that it's clear and very slick. I certainly appreciate the effort, and as I'm a bit of a data and spreadsheet nerd myself, I got a lot of...
I have about 300 crossings under my belt in the last 20 years, and 99% of the time it goes OK. I've been shouted at across the car park at the Folkestone terminal that I was "going the wrong way". I wasn't. I've been redirected a few times without them telling me, not because it was busy, but...
Considering cars were still coming off the production line this week minus the 12V batteries, I find it hard to imagine them making their way to any cars sat at dealers for the forseeable future.
Great stuff! ?
I'll be doing the same this coming Thursday in my new C-Class, which I could probably drive on to the double-deck carriage without scratching the rims, but I don't want that stress to be honest.
