M my car is in for other issues in addition to this recall. I got a call today that the recall is “currently not available to complete”, but that they still may be able to do it depending on how long the car takes a holiday at the service department.
just because they said it’s non-refundable doesn’t make it so. If it’s not legal in CA, it’s not legal in CA, regardless of what you signed*. No doubt they know this; if push came to shove they know they’d have to give it back.

If it’s the same issue, eventually you will have stored codes for “excessive brake pedal travel”. In addition to noticing that you have excessive brake pedal travel while the front camera shows you closing in rather quickly on that parking block…
Taking my car back to service probably tomorrow...
I just keep my rear seats folded down (with the headrests attached & completely retracted). That way they’re ready to go the once or twice a year someone’s actually sitting in the back seats.

They had to replace the master cylinder, or the pump that doubles as the master cylinder on the Taycan.
However, I’m starting to get excessive pedal travel AGAIN. Waiting for the goat to start braying a little louder before I take it in for the third time…
What could possibly be so special about a 12v battery for it to cost. $1200+? Except of course for the cost to move it from one side of the Porsche parts counter to the other. Are there no aftermarket alternatives?
Methinks Porsche had to come up with something to shut down the dealers grousing about the Taycan not having any service pull-through. Little did they know that there would be beaucoups of warranty/TSB work to clog up their service bays. But of course, that’s not as lucrative as “retail” hours &...
As long as my indie can get it up on the lift without cracking the battery, I’m pretty sure he can change the brake fluid.
And I’m always sure to top up my windshield washer fluid with the good stuff beforehand to avoid the dealer tainting it with their blue food-coloring water.
