    New Name. Same Service.

The people you call when your FoD purchase doesn’t go through/magically disappears from the dashboard. Notice I said “call” and not “speak to” because the latter rarely happens. From the email, it appears that shortly you can wait forever on hold to express your ire about “an expanded range of...

    New Name. Same Service.

Well, I was hoping for “some more” Service, actually. IMHO the service provided from the Mobility Team so far has been nowhere near “Smart”

Watch collectors - let's talk watches here!

Still trying to come to terms with the “disappearing hands” on my DSOTM Apollo 8. I love the watch so I will likely never unload it. Maybe after the warranty is over I’ll take a page out of Dee’s book & get a watchmaker to swap out the hands for ones with more contrast.

Taycans affected by WME3 will NOT be retrofitted with an electronic steering column adjustment

So what if I purchase a Taycan & sign a loan agreement through Porsche Financial Services & agree to pay a set amount/month until the car is paid off. But then, say six months after taking delivery, I (regrettably) decide that I believe the car is no longer worth what I paid for it. So I’m going...

    Can I trust the brakes?

IMHO you can trust them more after getting the service campaign done. Ask me how I know.

    The argument for RAS

I would’ve gotten this + Night Vision Assist if I didn’t have to buy off the rack because supply chain.

How long are you planning to keep your Taycan?

Until the 718 BEV is available. Edit: In Racing Yellow.

There’s a goat stuck in my front brakes

Just picked up the car this morning, brakes feel amazingly better. It took about six-ish weeks for the problem to re-occur for me last time so, ?.

There’s a goat stuck in my front brakes

Ok, finally getting the car back on Saturday. They replaced a “pump” (or what the service advisor says is the Taycan allegory of a master cylinder). Will post an update after some drivings.

Taycan: Buyer be aware or how to go from soul electrified to soul crushed

The most amazing thing I’ve read on this thread so far is that there’s someone that thinks the Taycan is easy to get in/out of. Why, B Pillar, why?

Adaptive Cruise Control + Sign Recognition?

Yes, you can select the mode using the “S”witch on the cruise control stalk. Agree with @kort that it needs some work. For example there’s a stretch of 55 MPH highway near me that passes overhead of a 35 MPH surface street. Consistently when I dive that highway, Innodrive will begin slowing...

Has Adaptive Cruise Control including Active Lane Keeping improved yet ?

IMHO when ALK can sense the lines, it’s MUCH better than what I had in my M3. But the M3 was MUCH better at sensing the lines than the Taycan.

    CarPlay instead of Porsche system

IMHO it doesn’t necessarily have to be vendor-specific CarPlay. But if car manufacturers are going to insist on wending critical functions of the car into the infotainment system (basically making it non-removable), then there ought to be some open API for external systems vs CarPlay & Android...

    Porsche on Fire (literally)!

periodic "spongy" brakes. that don't stop. if i die please have my family sue Porsche

Take it to the dealer, there is a bulletin on this. I’ve had mine in once already, the “phase I” solution (flush/fill/bleed) only worked for less than six weeks, so it’s going back for a total brake overhaul.
