Thanks, so whats your range based on that? My total before I reset it (ie previous owner) said like somewhere around 4 too. which, again, I was totally confused as to how that number was gotten to. (does it count being on but not moving as something which contributes to it??!)
I'd probably go "back" to a PIH car, if and when they make 911's like that and they become more reasonably priced in the 2nd hand market (most certainly can't justify spending >£100k on one. But I don't think i'd bother going back to a fully ICE car any more
hi all,
ok so i'm still relatively new to my Taycan (3-4 weeks now i think), but reading around i'm seeing people mentioning they get 3-4 miles/kwh out of their taycan.
I'm totally baffled by this, best I can seem to achieve is about 2. goes up to about 2.2 if i put it in range mode.
This...
so how are you getting 30p a kWh with ionity? in the Porsche app and ever other app it's showing as about 70p. are you paying the monthly subscription thing ?
Thanks. Just checked a few ionity locations on my porsche app and they're saying pretty much the same as what OPC chargers said, 69p/kwh + 20p/min after 60mins. where are you seeing 30p? Ionity seems to be pretty rare too, only 30 in england by the looks of things.
guessing this was addressed by porsche? just sitting in a OPC currently and it seems that it is 20p a minute from minute 60 onwards. which tbh seems fair and discourages people just sitting on the charger hogging the space. More places should do the same tbh. (or charge per min after its...
and this is the exact reason why the likes of Porsche feels like they can charge whatever arbitrary number they do. .
I've sold Porsches (as well as other makes) with full and partial service histories as well as with non OPC services before and it makes very little difference to the resale...
thanks. sorted it last night works perfectly and can track and play back all trips , showing speed and everything .. very happy with the results!
now to do some nice automation routines which blast out flood lights, alarms and send notifications should the car start/move if me or the wife are...
thanks, out of interest what sort of stuff did they pull out of the woodwork? what should I be looking at that is "supposed to be done" during an EV service?
it's out of warranty now (other than batteries, obviously) so I guess technically I don't need it to be serviced by porsche anyway. but...
good point, I'm Peterborough based so nearest is Cambridge /Leicester/Nottingham. I've used the first two before for my 911 when I had it, and tbh I wasn't hugely happy with theit service costs either as they were in excess of 1200quid. but I guess they at least have to spend 50quid on some...
without wading through 20 pages, where is the cheapest? it seems from a cursory glance at replies that porsche service centers are just sticking a finger in the air to get a random number to rinse the "rich" owners of taycans. i sure as hell won't be spending upwards of £500 to get a...
Because I don't want to subscribe to a £300 a year service (presumably on top of a Connect subscription for another £300 which I also don't particularly need) when I've bought a decent tracker and a 5 year data sim card for less than £50 all in and use my existing car/people tracking server...
these are like 10quid off of AliExpress , dont bother paying the 5x markup from that other place linked on here. it's the exact same product , in fact I'm fairly certain they are the same items and they just dropship items from AliExpress anyway
no car play? I have a turbo 2021 and it does wireless AA and car play (presumably , I don't have an apple) it's not listed as an optional extra so I assumed it was standard. that's pretty lame that a 4 year old car worth in excess of 100k didn't come with it!
jebus. can't you all just have a conversation about all this without resorting to name calling? it really isn't that deep to justify getting worked up over
