Just had a call from the dealer in response to me asking them to put the car back together. They have a loaner for me that I can go and collect this afternoon.
So, they are not offering a loaner and the HV tray order was approved by Porsche Germany today, I've told them to put the new protection plate on and get my car to me whilst we wait for parts. This is getting beyond a joke now.
This is what the PCNA CSR sent me a little while ago:
Please rest...
The saga continues - rental coverage is over today and the dealership has no loaners to give me. Debating telling them to just put the car back together
Just had a thought on this, if they remove the protection plate and see a dink on the underside of the HV tray you might find yourself in my position. Hopefully not, but you never know
So the approval for the repair is all sorted @$44k. My current strategy is to meet with the Service Manager when I go down to get another loaner and see if there is indeed any diagnostic data (this was recommended by the PCNA CSR) - I'm going to stress that this isn't aimed at them but Porsche...
The blue area was likely there when I got the car - I say this as there are no speed bumps anywhere near me where I live. If i knew what had hit the car to do this I would say, but I honestly don't, as I mentioned before, you're so far removed from this part due to all the components between...
Repairs are going ahead, I authorized that Monday morning but I am still trying to chase the diagnostic data, I need this for my own sanity!!
This is what I got from my PCNA CSR this morning:
Thank you for your email. I have advised Tom Wood Porsche management that you have requested a copy of...
I'm really sorry to hear that - my dealer had another car in that had quite a lot more damage to the protection plate and that was totalled too.
What I'm finding interesting are the protagnonists talking about the steel plate as tho it's several feet thick - it's not and clearly there's an issue...
You probably need to take a breath and take your hands off the keyboard - he simply pointed out that the consumer laws in the UK and EU are more focussed on just that - as opposed to the ones here. Factually correct and in no way belittling anyone
Also - bear in mind, no errors and/or lights or...
I can promise you there's nothing I'm leaving out and have documented pretty much everything. Change your focus - 3mm warrants a replacement HV tray with no additional data and/or diagnosis from the dealer other than charging $4.5k and then taking some pictures??? There is a chance the cooling...
@TeecanToocan I think your focus is a little miopic. When the 3.33mm dent was being inspected my service advisor clearly stated there was no drag and/or scrape marks and the likely conclusion was that some debris from the road has caused the impact - there is zero correlation to that and the...
Got this from the PCNA CSR this morning:
Thank you for your email and photos. The Porsche Center has performed thorough diagnostics and determined that a battery replacement and a new underbody panel is needed due to external influenced damage.
I pointed out that I have requested said...
