Go turbo or turbo S you will always regret not going for it since you’re already leaning that way. You’re only talking one year more on your battery warranty so I don’t see that being an issue. Now if you were going 24 to 20 then yes that four years would be harder to pass up. There are some...
I haven’t made the switch but have spent going on three months in a new 25 4S. Coming from a turbo there is a power difference but not much. Old turbo is still slightly faster. The push to pass is the best feature and the J1.1 should have it. However it does not bring other worldly power it’s...
Originally mine had 12 cell packs fail and they were all replaced. 14months later two more cell packs failed. Finally Porsche decided to replace the battery this time. Everything I am hearing is it will be a 2025 pack and it’s the first one my dealer is doing. Still waiting on the battery though.
While this would be great I don’t see that happening. There is to big of a stink cloud over this model. They will continue to fall and one day in the not too distant future there will be Taycans in’s the teens. Porsches hasn’t handled this battery situation well and is only making this worse...
Glad you kept it these are amazing cars. However I see them going far below the 40k mark. Granted not in two years time frame. Enjoy your car and try not to think about its cost.
No issues here my dealer has always been great to work with. The time lag always has to do with sending information to Porsche he for them to approve the next steps. Then comes the long wait for parts. Porsche service loves the Taycans they are cash cows for them.
You should as well. I believe the gen 1 packs are all gone. Either way I would expect longer then a month wait currently at two months myself and still no word on when the battery may show up.
Had the same thing happen to me as well. One month without any lye connectivity. Nothing the dealer could do to fix it. Just randomly fixed itself one day. That $300 a year is a tough pill to swallow when it’s sits for months at a dealer then when you have decides it doesn’t want to have an lte...
No clue mine has been replaced about four times now. Granted I don’t believe any of these replacements has actually solved the underlying problem. I had one failure at a DC fast charger all the other failures were at my house charging during the summer when it’s hot out.
Unfortunately these...
Would be nice to have the option but let’s be real Porsche can even give gen 1 Taycan owners more then six colors to pick for dynamic lighting. No chance we are getting this.
Agreed completely a battery replacement should restart the 8 year warranty on the battery. Unfortunately there is still all the other problems unrelated to the battery that can be large out of pocket expenses. Then typically at the end of the day don’t fix the problem.
