This is what I've been waiting to see. Have the build on my PTS GTS ST locking in a couple weeks, and the decision is killing me. Currently feeling Mexico Blue, but that Mint Green is interesting for sure. Really wanting to see some of those darker metallics and a Gulf Orange though.
In all seriousness though, this is the best possible news for someone like me waiting on a GTS build due for delivery in Summer. Integrated Spotify is something I've wished my cars had for about a decade now, and means I never have to worry about trying to futz with my phone because it didn't...
But I prefer wild speculation...
I heard from my cousin's friend's dad that the update actually boosts range to 500 miles, and runs a bitcoin miner so that when you stop for charging, it's always free. You can trust him, he's the janitor in the CEO's office, always picking up what's going on...
Yeah, I wouldn't consider it hard to find one, but depending on where you're at, maybe 30% of stations had diesel, with higher percentages (80+) near highways. Just few enough for it to be a hassle when you're trying to get fuel in a city you haven't been.
That's the battle they have to...
No worries, it's certainly important to realize that everyone's personal experience may be different. I used to drive a diesel Jetta TDI (600+ mile range), and at times, finding a diesel station was a bit of a challenge, though a bit less than it is to find a fast charger these days. If I only...
Plenty of people have very real needs for 500 mile range though. For me, it takes ~140 miles one way to get to my in-laws with no fast charger between us. Even in ideal weather, that makes it mildly risky to try and do in a Taycan, and outright impossible without a stop in the winter. With a...
I've had an allocation since the week the GTS ST was announced (had been waiting on a 4S CT, and got lucky I guess). I think originally for March/April build, but I ended up going for PTS, which pushed things back to May.
This somewhat older video does a decent job of explaining some of the available information these days, but the short summary is that yes, electric cars are better for the environment, assuming you get 60,000+ miles out of it (and potentially much less)
Well, that's kind of concerning that they aren't getting enough techs certified for the car that's only behind the Macan and Cayenne in sales. Hopefully they can get that figured out.
That probably explains it. The 19" wheels would be about 0.35" wider total radius than the 20" without any load, and the load likely compresses the tires on the 19" wheels significantly more.
Fortunately, I think this is all easily found by looking at Porsche's technical specs for each trim, specifically height.
Base RWD 54.9"
4S (comes with air suspension) 54.3"
All other sedans and ST 54.4"
All CT 55.5""
Not sure why the 4S listed as 0.1" shorter, but it seems safe to say that...
Worth noting that you can add the tech package for $1,160 by the look of it, and that will add the HUD (If you've never used one, I highly recommend them), and the Remote ParkAssist includes the better 3D surround view parking, and rear cross traffic alerts.
I was personally partial to the...
So I've started down the path of adding PTS to my upcoming GTS ST allocation, with the dealer confirming that he was able to get an allocation for May production (I'll let the color be a surprise for when I actually can get pictures of it). Anyone have experience with the process and if there's...
I suspect defeating these will become fairly common though. The article says it relies on GPS and traffic sign recognition? Oh, I guess I accidentally wrapped that transponder in aluminum foil, and there's some mud on that front facing camera, dang, I guess my limiter doesn't work!
Lead time is probably best answered by a dealer, but I'd be shocked if there were allocations available for a delivery before Summer, but maybe by EOY 2022 though. Markup definitely depends on the dealers in your area or how far you're willing to travel. I got mine for MSRP, but that might not...
Your build is basically what I have with the only differences being frozen blue vs chalk, taking the race-tex interior, tech package, the base wheels, Porsche intelligent range manager, and the aluminum foot pedals.
When it comes to the race-tex, my feelings are that yes, it will take more...
If you want to put your mind at ease, think of it like this. What's the worst case scenario? The cars don't seem to have any widespread fire related issues, since you can really only find one case of it in Florida, which seemed to be related to the EVSE install rather than the car itself. If...
Oh, looks like it's that way in the US as well, I just haven't tried to option to Mission E wheels before. Seems odd to require the brakes upgrade with them , but we probably won't be changing that here. Either way, the rear axle steering is worth considering if your budget will fit it. The...
