It wasn’t for me but if you’re not capable of figuring this out in-situ I really don’t recommend you mess around with it.
I’ve no need to remove mine again and didn’t take any photos or anything as it’s fairly simple to be honest.
Pull trim out from the bottom edge until it's fully released and then pull it down towards to the floor to disengage from the upper B pillar trim. There's a couple of plastic teeth at the top that locate under the bottom edge of the upper trim.
I removed them to attach some Noico...
I get that you asked this question months ago but saw this on the "similar threads" box at the bottom of the page.
The answer to your question is to loosen it out with nothing but a bit of force and then you'll see a metal clip at the top that has a sliding flat-section that you need to slide...
I contacted Porsche parts asking about a price for Race-Tex covered B-Pillar trims. No part number available. Can't order without a VIN that has that as part of the spec and will be much more expensive than the £360 option. I'm going to get a re-trimmer to trim my existing ones instead.

Thieves who have the tools and sophistication required to do this already have the publicly available workshop manuals that give them all the info they need.
I doubt very much they pay attention to a forum where 50% of the users don’t even know how to work the stereo properly.
On the Taycan, they’d be able to access CAN wiring from just behind the wheel arch liner. All they’d need to do is slice it open at the bottom outside corner where the connector for the main front bumper wiring loom is located.
Totally depends on the buyers reasons for purchase. I keep seeing comparisons with other EVs. I didn't buy the Taycan because it was an EV. I traded in an M5 and bought it because it is Porsche's equivalent car and is much nicer than a Panamera.
I have no interest in Macan regardless of what...
The issue is Porsche's wording. It's like the Front & Rear heated seats option. The wording implies that without ticking that box you don't get front heated seats when obviously you do, as standard.
Ambient lighting has always been part of the standard spec, looks like this and is white LED...
It seems to be. I've read that lots of folk got it. What I dont get is that Porsche doesnt' seem to know that the car has it, as it's still offering it to me for £1300 on the FOD store.
Can you get the frunk/froot/bonnet to open using a gesture? I just can't seem to get it to work.
I was doing a new build. There's two versions of ambient lighting. Standard (and very basic) and the £330 colour selectable option.
Although I don't know what they're playing at as my car has full comfort access apart from the gesture control for the frunk. The car wasn't specc'd with it and...
