I think I managed to do that. Basically I simply want to charge up to 75% and stop. So what I do is set a profile to 75%, then a timer for anything over 75% (I do 80) that is set for some day in the far future ( I set it on 2035). This way the car starts charging immediately once plugged in to...
Thanks!! I guess that’s the one at Mccowan and Sheppard? I was out in Richmond Hill and there were absolutely zero chargers around. It was either the Scarborough one or all the way in Halton Hills. Pretty appalling. I know there was another fast charger at Bayview and Sheppard, but generally the...
How was the charging situation in Canada? I contemplated making the drive but looking at PlugShare it doesn’t look like there’s much (or any) fast charging in the Toronto area.
You pair up the Wall Connectors via WiFi and the main “lead” wall connector controls the current if two or more chargers are used. The below is a good thread on the subject. Apparently the Wall Connector gen 3 (current generation) recommends that you use a separate breaker for the secondary Wall...
I have the j1772 Tesla wall connector. No smart features but absolutely bulletproof to date. And it was among the cheapest to boot! IIRC it would have been cheaper to get a NACS version and buy a Tesla tap but I didn’t want to mess around with adapters. Too bad this new one wasn’t available back...
Maybe it’s a timer set by your utility? I recall similar comments from other UK owners.

Go with a Taycan and don’t look back. Like others said, just looking at it puts a smile on my face. Conversely there are a million Teslas on the road, it just doesn’t feel particularly special. I’ve yet to ever use a fast charger, so the range and charging network is limited value to me. IMO...
I’ve come across a few similar articles. Intuitively heavier is obviously worse, but curious to know how different it really is if I’m not flooring it every time I accelerate. Ie this article (https://www.earth.com/news/hidden-costs-electric-vehicle-tires-emit-20-more-pollution/) quotes an “ up...
RAS is great for parking in tight spots. My CT4S feels incredibly nimble at low speeds. Granted I haven’t driven one without RAS but it is very noticeable in tight spots. I haven’t noticed the benefit at speed, but my area is very congested so I rarely get up to sustained highway cruising...
I’ve always been a huge fan of wide body kits growing in the 90s tuner culture, and this is no exception! The green prior design car looks awesome but some of the other ones look mismatched; ie the fenders (particularly this kind of bolt-on look) are so aggressive but the OEM wheels and color...
We have a lot of Americans here but curious what the experience is in Europe? Isn’t CCS the standard over there? What makes their network tick vs the US? Is it the actual technology? Or is EA just poorly managed?
Hi all - I recently charged my 4S for the first time using a Tesla wall connector (with j1772 plug). What I wanted to do is to tell the car to charge immediately but stop at 80%.
I wasn’t sure that was possible but based on what I read on the forum, I set a timer to charge to 80% by 9:30AM...
I quite like it in M60 trim. Taking into account the <$90k price, it is pretty attractive and looks like a solid contender. IIRC there was going to be a wagon/estate variant too- that will be amazing.
I’m pleasantly surprised to see Tesla superchargers with CCS support along the I90/I87 corridor from NYC to Canada. Combined with the relatively dense EA network in the area, I feel pretty good about making the trip to Canada. However, totally different story north of the border. Charging...
Agreed it was T15 for me too and I didn’t see the spacer anywhere. I also didn’t have to remove the liner; there was an indentation in the liner perfect for a small ratchet wrench.
