The drainage control is a big "extra" and NOT in the obligatory service program.
It's an individual position, maybe especially necessary for your car.
If not, I would deny it.
Fun fact:
I programmed a timer yesterday evening with preheating.
At the designated time this morning I got a pop-up message on my phone, that preheating is done.
So obviously a bug in the app, as connection in the background seems to work somehow...
Yep, Germany also.
Guess we will just have to wait a bit.
Porsche connect has definitely not got the best backbone.
One would expect more from Porsche.
Not yet selling my Taycan though.
Warning: just worked on the inlay and it's more complicated.
1. There seems to be a combination between clips and fixed connections:
My attempt to lever it of made one "plug" break.
I stopped after 1/3 of the way into the panel.
2. the carbon is very tight along the leather. Very likely to...
Talked to Porsche today:
The inlays "pop-off" (was warned that they sit tight).
My solution will be to take off the carbon-inlay, as it clearly is identified to produce the rattling.
I will put felt-strips on the backside to cushion it.
Problem will be solved than.
I drove a complete base/base Taycan for a week as loaner.
It already felt better than Tesla ?
Tesla just has other priorities, can't really compare the two chassis.
He is implying that this content is highly doubtful and lacks proof at many angles.
Thus creating an opinion by trusting information from probably faulty sources is very likely to go in the wrong direction.
Well yes, I agree on preparing a purchase carefully.
Getting the perfect spec is one thing. Getting Porsche approved warranty another.
I would never buy without Porsche warranty.
Yes, it costs a fair amount, but a Taycan is still by far the cheapest way to enjoy a real sports-car.
Portugal is special. Drove there several times with Teslas, Supercharging was never charged there.
there is a "Portugal" travel-thread here in the forum.
Yes, in Portugal the Card doesn't work.
App solves it.
Always good to have Ionity and also evio as app.
But something even better:
With Shell recharge (german card) I paid flat out around 3 ct/ kWh at all chargers in Portugal last summer.
Thinking again and again about what I "hate" about this beautiful racer lets me get along with all the issues decribed here and can live/ drive with them very happily as the advantages are clearly weighing in heavily.
BUT: reversing in the dark and truely seeing NOTHING at times annoys me at...
This is a magnificent time, to buy a true electric sports luxury car at a bargain price.
Also in Europe due to consumer-uncertainty around the ICE TO E transformation, prices are unreasonably low on used cars.
Prices on average new E-cars are still to high, though.
Still a lot to happen, until...
The combination of being connected worldwide through forums and getting to know the 0.5-1% of Taycans with sealing problems and this spectacular thread on top, adds to conspirative theories and blows up the conspirative assumptions to Porsche SE holding back all that information.
Fear always...
Of course: if Innodrive adapts wrong all the time, it's exhaustng.
Those few times that happens to me I adjust manually at the stick. No big deal.
but it seems different from country to country.
