If you're in the market for an EV, what car is out there that offers a superior experience to a Model 3 SR+ at the same price point?
Quality on some builds, especially early on is lacking, but a Model 3 SR+ offers decent range, superior technology, is very safe, easy to drive, spirited enough...
Isn't what "car lovers" say on forums and groups the very definition of an opinion?
The hate I think is way more focused on the fan boys that defend the brand to the end, as opposed to the actual cars. Jalopnik in particular loves to dunk on folks that worship at the grail of Tesla.
PASM is in my top 3 options. It makes the ride so much more polished, especially if this is a daily driver. I have tested a RWD without it, and you're right, the ride quality is still nice, but I definitely felt the drop in quality on some roads near my house that are slightly uneven or have...
I feel like the sweet spot for it is a child, too big for a car seat or booster, but still on the more petite side. Basically a smaller 10-12 year old.
3 adults is pure misery.
I tried transporting my daughter and her 2 friends who are all 6 and in boosters, and it was an insanely tight...
I got my 4S off the lot so didn't get to built, but when it came to ordering my CT4, this forum definitely helped with some the decision. Owning one also helped me realize what I don't need on my new build, so I've actually been able to save some decent coin.
TBH another "option" should be color choice. A non free color is likely more chosen than just about every other option on builds, and it's also one of the cheapest options that has the biggest impact on the appearance of the vehicle.
Yeah, I meant model years. We are knocking on 2 actual years of retail sales and about to be in our 3rd model year.
There are definitely going to be repairs but it likely won't come close. I seem to recall a Taycan specialist on here from a dealer in Texas mentioning Porsche specifically is...
Initially an EV is money losing, but Tesla makes about a 21% gross on their vehicles, one of the highest in the industry. Porsche already stated this year the Taycan is profitable after just a couple sales years.
The real hurt comes to the dealers when they don't have cars rolling in...
Battery and Premium Package were my top 2 and the PASM was also checked because it improves the ride quality immensely.
Premium Package to me is important because it adds features becoming of a car in this price point. Many of them should be standard, but overall they help the car justify the...
Probably depends on where they are sourced from, and where they "get in". I would imagine pre-existing stockpile locations exist worldwide for vehicles that need repairs or replacements and they likely ship them to multiple locations in the world.
How they prioritize things remains a...
I'm sorry but to deny Tesla's impact on the automotive industry is just sticking your head in the sand.
Without Tesla showing that EV's were feasible on a large scale to the mass market, the trickle down of governments mandating EV sales and emissions standards (which Diesel Gate assisted...
Who knows. My SA said their vehicles had all been delayed somewhat, with the slowest quarter for deliveries they have ever had over the last 2 months. He did mentioned that he has seen a ramp up in production in the factory for many of his delayed allocations, and many of the cars awaiting...
OP, I honestly don't think you would ever need it if you don't plan to take it on road trips, and it sounds like you already have a good road trip car. For day to day city driving/commute, the regular battery is plenty.
It it my number one must have feature, but I enjoy EV road trips and the...
Fellow Texan. $250 for a couple 240V outlets seems like a solid deal. In my area they try and get away with upwards of $500 for one.
I live in El Paso but have taken my 4S across Texas to the Florida Panhandle and West to California. Most of the time you charge at home so local...
Nope. The cabin is still very quiet with the normal glass, especially for an EV. I came from a Model S, and one of the first things my wife commented on when I got the car was how quiet it was at highway speeds. I'm sure the insulated glass is very nice, but not sure it's worth the cost when...
Not a fan of the grill/front of the EQE or EQS. Large applause to them for moving so quickly in this direction, but I find these to be their most umderwhelming looking cars.
