Wow - No Open Campaigns On My 2022 4S

Basically just premium package with the remote park assist. Power charge doors, sport chrono, and 400/150 on board charger.

I am watching the “sh*t show” that EA is live and in person

This is honestly why my wife recently switched to a eHybrid Cayenne from a Model X. The Cayenne still meets her day to day needs on EV range alone but we also now have a road trip car that doesn't require stopping. Even with Teslas solid infrastructure wait times are a reality and just about...

Wow - No Open Campaigns On My 2022 4S

Without knowing your specific build, I would almost imagine the more options the more likely a delay will occur. But I also have no clue. My 2022 CT4 went into production this month a week before it was supposed to. I got my vin a few days later and it's already moving to the port. My dealer...

    Used Taycan prices

My example was specifically for a much cheaper EV and different states have different taxing laws. If I bought a 4xe just to flip it for the tax refund I would still profit a few grand.

    Used Taycan prices

There are just no new models for sale right now outside of a few markets, and builds with desirable features are still selling at retail or more just because demand is so high. It's like this with many cars. I've noticed on car sites like Vroom and Carvana, Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which get a good...

Bose system on the Taycan, is it a good system?

Bose is good and IMHO the best value for the money on the model. The Burmester is superior, but not enough so to justify the premium cost. The Bose is way better than the stock, and to me a must have option.

    Adaptive Air Suspension

This. Every version of the Cross Turismo and every Taycan from 4S onward has it as standard. You can option it on the RWD.

How did you pay for your Taycan?

Financed through Porsche. I keep a local bank or two in my back pocket if the interest rate through Porsche is bad, but so far they've been able to match or beat them. I'd also note I usually trade in a vehicle. For my 4S, I traded in a Boxster, and for my upcoming CT4, I'm trading in my...

    Allocations?

Not surprised. So many dealerships are just selling used cars at this point. My local dealership has only 2 new Porsche cars on the lot and another 20+ "incoming vehicles". The other dealerships in my region are lucky to have 5 or 6 new cars. Most available are Macans, which I'm sure a lot of...

    What are my options...

Yeah, I'm not sure how a dealer has no clue what is on the vehicle. Something weird seems to be going on.

Taycan Waiting Room: Who has ordered and a delivery date?

That's been my experience. Just about everything after the freeze date earlier this month is a few days ahead of schedule. I hope it stays that way, and more importantly, it doesn't have to sit on a port waiting for parts.

    Allocations?

I lucked into one in Texas last month. I was checking CT inventory of several dealerships to see if they had any, one had an "incoming vehicle" showing, which was of course someone else's order. Fortunately, he had a CT4 build slot that was meant to start production this month, and he gave it...

    EV Porsche 718 in 2025

A 718 Boxster S is probably one of the best cars I've ever owned. Gorgeous to look at, handles like a dream, comfortable enough as a daily. I'll be first in line for this bad boy if they keep it true to its roots.

Disaster! Spec missing the one thing I wanted. ????

I have it on my 4S, hasn't been on in months, and left it off spec for my CT4. If it's such a huge deal, be thankful it can be retrofitted, but it honestly isn't worth the premium (it isn't even worth the reduced cost if you spec it at the start).

    Anyone considering other EV's?

EPA has it at 31 miles. My boss drives one and our commute is mostly a straight shot of freeway with no traffic at 75mph, and she gets about 27 miles out of it consistently.

    Western Europe Taycan road-trip report

As other's have said, wonderful thread. Really appreciate you taking the time to document this and share the wonderful places you visited, while highlighting the logistics of an EV Road trip. I'm a huge proponent of EV road trips, and stories like these go a long way in proving to other's, even...

Taycan Cross Tourismo Review by OutofSpec

I really enjoy their videos. If you ever have the time, they broke the EV Cannonball record earlier this year in a Taycan 4S, their video is on Youtube. It is worthwhile as they are pretty knowledgeable about the EA charging networking and its shortcoming. It sounds like he is going to have...

POLL: What's your Porsche experience level?

You're in good company here if it is your first Porsche. You'll fine a solid mix of experienced brand owners and folks that jumped over specifically for the EV. It honestly doesn't matter much. This specific car is so new and unique to the brand, having the knowledge of owning several 911's...

    Do you daily your Taycan?

I have never understood why anyone would baby a Porsche and keep it locked away. I see some resales with 5k or less miles after 3 or 4 years of ownership and you have to wonder "whats the point?". If I'm ponying up this kind of coin for a car, I'm going to drive the hell out of it, and a...

    Anyone considering other EV's?

Honestly why I think longer range plug in hybrids have a good purpose. Especially in SUVs where aerodynamics are more difficult. My wife has a Cayenne E-hybrid that for her day to day uses just the battery (which is only about 25 miles range). When we need it for longer trips though, it's...
