Interesting. Please keep us posted. I remember well I did not reboot. But anything is possible. As we all know the SW is plagued with all sorts of ridiculous errors, bugs… the loose fitting plastic might be at fault as well .
in one of my cases the electric door could not close as it kept...
I had it 3 times (my charging ports are electrically operated), that for Porsche software starts to give that reassuring familiarity….
First time it was just a false positive. The second time seems. The second time was due to the fact that the small plastic tab for the fast-charger (right side)...
Not sure it was you (?) but another thread here (I can't find it) started to criticise Burm vs other options and was at some point discussing PCM indexing from a usb stick.
While it appeared that even large storage sticks were supported if they had some specific file systems, I think that even...
that's what I thought too but brightness of PCM UI was way out of line even without CarPlay (wired) running. I tried a different cable during that drive and no change.
Maybe a Porsche SW glitch because after I turned it off for 30 mins at a Ionity station and back on the display had dimmed back...
Maybe a Porsche Xmas feature...
Yesterday, I drove for an hour in the evening and noticed that the central display was several times (a lot) brighter than the other displays (instrument cluster, passenger). From the photo (iPhone 12) you can see it blew the highlights in the central one.

I would like to offer a slightly different perspective.
Yours seems to me to be a well-rounded collection.
I personally don't use any categories or stereotypes for a variety of reasons. E.g. in this area there are an awful lot of Porsches per population and they are not considered very...
Could anyone advise me on how to remove the side lettering on the doors (I mean the "Taycan turbo" stickers)? Is it easy?
During the recent replacement of the rear plastic fascia, Porsche centre mistakenly installed these stickers. I only realised it, once I was home. They were given to me at...
fair point in principle on comparing like for like. So which upgraded Tesla's system should I compare it to (model 3 or S , plaid or whatever)? I have no detailed idea of their options but I fear the answer is "none", regardless of model chosen?
My point is that, on the infotainment side (let...
I think enjoyment is highly personal. So why not enjoy any Tesla (or any other car) if it passionates you? Many will not be aware/care of ridiculous paint jobs, poor fit / finish, etc.
That said, performance is a package: raw hp or speed without good brakes or suspension (Tesla has neither) can...
Yes Luis Ramirez did 7:44 on (wet) Ring with heavy mods/upgrades to its suspension, brakes, wheels and tires (they run Cup2 I think), i.e. the ugly bits. So it can't be official (it's far from a stock car, which is above 8 mins). Charoudin, one of the Ring's veteran who lives in front, also had...
model 3 is visually catchy (from inside, though fit&finish is...ehm...). power and control are good, brakes and suspensions are a joke and will get you in serious trouble if pushing hard on twisty B-roads or mountain passes around Europe - that's what I call fun.
not sure what "not too bad"...
It's probably revenge to make Irish retail pay for the benefits of the mega tax deals offered to big American companies :))
here capital gains are taxed with a good heart.. but I think France and Italy have rates similar to IRE
Well said. Some of the Tesla drivers get very defensive. Some others own many other cars as well, enjoy what they drive and don't care.
The article is biased and facinorous, to be kind.
Tesla quality (mechanics, assembly, handling, brakes, finishes outside of software) is what it is...
Did I not read somewhere that Porsche has “unofficially” trimmed 0-60 for turbo s and turbo (2,6s and 2,9s respectively from dead stop, launch control) by sw tweaks? This seems to be consistent with the 2,4s (1 foot roll-out) for turbo s from Car and Driver. Ps. the Official times on porsche...
so P&C is enabled but never worked for either of us…
on miles vs km, my guess is that you might have to change it in the web portal and / or in the connect app (but the latter for you shows km so that’s already ok)
your total 313 km range for 100% does not surprise me I have a very similar...
mine is also my20 and seems to have P&C on. Have you checked the "charging" app under my vehicles - does it say P&C enabled? I posted a screenshot in the separate EA thread.
this is interesting. I have the same (Turbo my20) "P&C enabled". but it never worked on Ionity or any other network for what is worth, i.e. I have to use the RFID or the app. Is there anyone else in Europe able to P&C? at what network?
Yes, same for me in Europe. Let's see what breaks tomorrow...
As a sidenote, how do you pay for the charges via the "charging na" app? a monthly bill on the connected credit card?
thanks. I had seen it. but tried at 6-7 ionity stations in CH and ITA, never worked once P&C.
How do you know if the car is updated for that (I have a turbo MY20)? which SW release/code?
that's awful.
My card is still working but the rest is not. Also not able to use Plug&Charge at Ionity - I doubt that's even activated in the network, never heard anybody confirming that.
