I moved to the RWD from a 2003 911 non-turbo. I've very happy with the RWD. It's very quick off the line and, as someone mentioned, it really jumps once you are going 15-20 mph and hit the 'gas'.
That said, I've never had occasion to floor the accelerator or use boost. No plans to go to a...
Oh, OK ... so that's similar to turbo behavior on my MR2. I was thinking that you had to engage Sport mode manualy sort of like turning on/off Eco mode.
Thanks for that info. I was really wondering about how this works in practice.
Is it not a bit ironic that Porsche's 2023 solution to getting better range on it's more expensive models is to turn dual-motor Taycans into slightly-heavier and significantly more complex RWD Taycans (by default and under normal driving conditions)?
You're right; didn't think it through. I'm in the U.S. & don't believe we get trackers (could be wrong about this, too). I hid an Apple AirTag in my Taycan which hopefully would help should the car be stolen (unlikely anyway). Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I wonder if getting an arbitration settlement would be of interest to https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#index which controls U.S. recall orders.

W/ only 5,000+ miles on my '21 RWD I'm still bracing for any of the problems written about on this forum. So far, no problems. I marked "very happy" rather than "exceeded" mainly because of the snafu related to the major system update rollout (long delays; horror stories) and the way Porsche...
Good for Champion Porsche being the largest! The challenge comes in when other dealers make the same claim to potential customers either about Porsche cars in general or selling of particular models. Does size matter as long as the sales force works for their customer as well as their company...
I'm thinking EA isn't particularly serious about providing adequate charging services through their stations for the ever-increasing number of electric vehicles. If I'm not mistaken, VW undertook EA as part of its settlement after being found cheating on diesel mileage some years ago. That's not...
There are EA chargers in Santa Maria, CA which I hope you found (and I hope they worked). I toyed around w/ the idea of filming a couple of hours at the Pismo EA station ... just one problem after another for folks driving up in all kinds of electric vehicles. Meanwhile the 15-20 Tesla bays a...
Been in PG on a Saturday night when 1 of 5 EA (the 50Kw) was operational. Porsche is opening an outlet in San Luis Obispo. From the looks of it, chargers will be front and center.
