first - i know there are some other posts on this but i think they may be different. This is my first porsche so not sure if this is just a thing.
i just got my 4S CT a few days ago (21" summer tires). Went for a longish ride today on fast, new roads (literally asphalt was still being laid)...
Anyone know how to get it back when that happens? Mine’s been this way for months now. Old TYD links still show it, but the myporsche page doesn’t have it anymore
I ended up removing Matrix lights in December/Jan timeframe due to back order. Only to have it sit in Emden from April to August waiting on the Burmester. Not a peep on that delay, however. Kind of frustrating but also not HUGE bc US still hasn’t sorted out what’s allowed yet.
Funny i keep looking at those too as i wait months for my car to get here. DBX is pretty nice looking too. Ultimately, the electronics are so awful in them I think they can’t be a daily driver.
Actually the car i came closest to buying instead was the new MB AMG SL55. Just a beautiful car...
Update - some progress on my car that was in Emden since 4/12. It finally got on a boat to Houston 8/26. Still don't think it has the amp tho, will see when it gets to Dealership.
Brand impressions aside, i think the future is going to be pretty awesome. The switch to EV is a performance boon, and is giving the manufacturers license to play with more extreme styling. Not every attempt will land, but i love seeing it.
i do think the 'old guard' better watch out. a 100k...
I looked at tons of used ones. They are hard to buy bc they are so configurable and everyone has diff priorities.
For me, the extended leather was minimum requirement. If nothing else you get the nice extra stitching along the dash and doors and it makes it look so much better. I’m glad you...
I am torn on these 2035 mandates. On one hand, necessity is the mother of invention. If it has to be solved, it will be. There’s a ton of money to be made solving it too.
I do worry about the power grid. Not sure all the grids can support a car in every garage plugged in. But again, a great...
welp, houston-bound Violet Ace just left Emden, and my car appears to still be hanging out at the port. sigh.
Actually it just updated to say On Vessel! %$!@#$ better not sink
regarding the suspension kit - is there any concept to the opposite? something that could raise it up higher than it normally would in Lift mode? I have a steep drivway and a sedan barely scrapes. I'm hoping my CT4S won't (if it ever actually arrives). In the mean time, that GTS ST looks...
finally saw a change after a looong time. I was Arrived at Emden Port on 4/12 up until yesterday when it suddenly changed to Arrived at Emden Port 8/24. I can just picture some guy wandering around the lot going 'hey, did we miss this one? wonder how long its been here..."
It says 'on vessel'...
100 sounds too cheap perhaps for a good high-gloss black paint job. Still, its just a solid color paint nothing fancy, so should be easy.
i personally think it makes a huge difference in the look of the car:

I know you can order them in high gloss black and other colors. if you get a used one without them painted, however, is it possible to get them painted? I mean, i know anything is possible, but is it a reasonable/normal thing that can be done by dealership or something?
