I have had no issues with using EA when driving north from FL via I 95. the charger at Newark DE can get congested.
Out of Atl you could take I 85 to I 95 or to I 77 then I 81 then decide how to get through or around NYC.
you need to check a better route planner and plughshare to confirm the...
the issue with EA and other suppliers is two fold.
keeping the chargers operational has been an issue but is resolved by hiring more techs to service the units.
the bigger issue is that the charging infrastructure is not keeping pace with the numbers of EVs hitting the roads.
this problem...
mclaren certainly has a great history of building fantastic cars, however their price points are way beyond what is considered "normal".
porsche is a niche brand for few people who want high performance cars at a cost that is affordable, mclaren is an even smaller brand that only a select few...
I always want the ability to get in the car and go anywhere so I top the car off often. back in the tesla world Elon stated that a plugged in tesla was a happy tesla, I still adhere to his advice.
the first six months of owning my '21 4s was a nightmare because of the baked in charging conflict that took months for porsche to acknowledge and correct.
have to make more than three visits for software updates that should have been accomplished via over the air updates that were promised but...
it is a stock letter, standard corporate gobbledygook which is translated to tough sh*t, we're not going to to a thing for all the people who have been seen the unit that they bought neutered.
it is a great riding car as jaguars are known for, it is a very peppy car, the tech with the new PIVI is superior to the PCM in the taycan the only flaws are that the charging is not as fast as other 800v EVs and new ones are hard to come by
if you are on a long road trip and need to drive a bit slower to make the next charger that is what you do. when I know that I have plenty of range I drive it like a porsche.
I live in FL and do not have to deal with extremely cold weather, in the best of conditions I have never been able to squeeze more than 260 miles out of my 2021 4s with 20 inch tires.
the reality for me is getting more than 230 miles while driving 70-75 mph on flat roads in warm weather is my...
that is debatable, I am very pleased with my Ipace. it has a great ride, it is quite peppy and handles quite well. it's only issue is it is hampered by slow charging
sorry to say this but if you are on a road trip and need to maximize your range I've found the sweet spot to be 70-75 MPH. when I know that I am not stretching the range limits I will mash the pedal more.
EA can be a shit show. and getting stuck doing a slow charge to be able to get to another fast charger is a real downer and doesn't do much for helping the move towards EVs as newbies hear horror stories like this.
I have encountered non functioning chargers and have been fortunate to have been...
