Yes that was my thought too, there must be some kind of “lowest” point rails from front to back to absorb these. The bump itself was like 70” long while 30” high, whoever designed this one must really hate cars.

Just pull a seamless microfiber cloth through. foam and rinse it first so all dirt/crud is out. Air dry after.
