i think in all fairness to your study that you need to survey current owners of the BMW. I predict all the BMW owners will tell you something 180 degrees opposite the Taycan owners. It's a fool's errand. And FWIW I'd choose a Porsche over a BMW any day, and I've owned both.
I've pit one dealer against the other but only when I felt I wasn't being treated fairly. Did so for the last two Porsches I purchased and it worked both times. More importantly, i ended up with a more ethical dealer from what I could tell once I became a customer. I see you are in LA. You...
May I ask you about your heater? I've noticed other posts about this and never paid much attention until the other day when the weather got very cold and I turned the heat to 80F/Auto and nothing happened for the 10 miles or so that it took me to get home. And yes, I was cold when I got there...
My first year of ownership I hardly ever saw any Notifications pop on the PCM and now it seems they are popping up constantly while driving, multiple times per trip. I thought "I'll ask the forum guys about this" and then I decided I should do my own homework and so I parked to look at them...
I love this feature and wish I could have it permanently engaged. But I'm wondering...when it does engage in slowing the vehicle, does the car's brake light also engage (I am thinking no), and does the engine braking reduce brake pad wear (I'm thinking yes?)
I just skimmed the responses and surprised that I didn't see anyone comment on how easy the car is to clean with these coatings. I didn't own the car for much time without PPF/ceramic but it seems I never need to wash it. Dirt seems to bounce right off. It always looks clean!
my wife gets them too. at first she was nagging me about it. then she remembered she bought me a radar detector when i had my 911 (after my first speeding ticket) and i never got a ticket afterwards, so she stopped nagging.
This company does not know how to communicate efficiently with its customers and this has been the consensus established in many prior threads. :CWL: Just sayin.
I believe these emails are sent out on a random basis to ensure new customers understand how to get OTA updates. I don't believe it is an indication that something is coming out.
I did that trip from San Diego last year. One stop in Ventura and then along the coast of Big Sur, stopping overnight in SLO to top off the charge. Arrived in Monterey with 100 miles extra range, far exceeding expectations.
Me included. Absolutely no issues with my 22MY after about 18 months ownership. In fact, I am pretty surprised at the lack of defects. It's really impressive achievement IMO given the company's lack of experience in the EV space.
I don't doubt that others are having issues and are...
White is the new black for car interiors. And the Taycan still has enough black along the sides for a good contrast. I am very happy with my interior which is about the same. I wish I had sprung for blue colored belts (to match the exterior) but since that doesn't impact performance it was a...
That was a concern of mine but I've had the chalk interior now for a year and a half with no issues. I didn't even seal it. I think in this case that concern is overblown.
I'm impressed you got 23K miles out of a set of tires, especially EV tires. I have the same product on my car which is at 15K now. I'm on track to match your performance. I'm very happy about that!
