Am I the only one that wants to buy a new version of same car the moment you see a dent?! I think not! But I will try the PDR services and appreciate all the feedback.
Thank you both. I've never used a service like that but I will see what they say. Paint is not impacted by the dents. However here in SoCal everything is expensive and if they want $500 to remove these blemishes I'll be even more pissed off!
If there is a silver lining it's that my family...
For two years I was the guy who parked at the far end of the lot. Never taking more than one spot but always with an open space on either side. Even more often I'd parallel park, risking that I might curb the tires as opposed to being dinged by another driver.
Last week, I had no choice - all...
I am at 20K miles and the tire (or tyres if you prefer) look great. I have the same Michelins as were installed on the vehicle when I bought it 2 years ago.
I was speaking to the finance manager at a dealership about that the other day. He acknowledged that prices may change due to costs as more info about the Taycan's repair history become known. He suggested to start the conversation about 9-12 months before the end of your warranty period.
Honestly, you should be deciding what color you like rather than relying upon the opinion of a bunch of strangers. FWIW I think "silver" and especially "metallic" has had its day. In other words, it's common, even if a derivative. The "new black" seems to be flat and vibrant colors, so I went...
18 months!? A lot can happen in that time. I wish you the best but I don't think I would want to wait so long for a new car. I had to wait 6 months and was beginning to wonder if I made a mistake! I hope that are delivering you at least a MY 2025.
BTW I have RAS and I'm very happy I added...
Interesting debate comparing value of "peace of mind" to "actual cost of repairs without warranty." But we are also in uncharted territory somewhat with this particular vehicle, so I would lean toward the extended warranty if priced right.
I like the idea of being able to bring my vehicle...
Good point. I have reached out to my dealer in Southern California and happy to share what I learn about costs with members here, although in your case they may not be comparable even with a currency conversion! Maybe we should start another thread devoted to extended warranty pricing?
Like others I purchased my vehicle outright and am approaching the end of the warranty period. I have a couple months to decide about an extended warranty.
I'm surprised many here are going for it, as extended warranties for other products are generally not a good deal. Would love to hear...
FWIW be careful what you wish for. Once you start driving a 911 you'll notice that virtually all the other dudes driving them are old enough to be your grandpa. Unless you are going to track the car, it's like putting a thoroughbred pedigree horse in a petting zoo.
