WNW2 was the most recent update that was performed OTA. The update prior was many moons ago so I can't imagine why the dealer is holding up your vehicle. Maybe you are ahead of the rest of us, or your dealer is confused.
If your priority is charging network, range, infotainment, and things that have nothing to do with driving performance then you would probably not appreciate the Taycan. I'd love the car without any infotainment whatsoever, so when it glitches and all goes to black, I barely notice...
Every time I see this post title at the top of my forum top hits, i have to roll my eyes. Its a reductive argument, like comparing a new shiny apple to a moldy orange. Can we kill this thread please and replace it with something useful. We are at 7 pages for heaven's sake. Anyone still stuck...
Well after a couple deep breaths to lower my blood pressure, the system did finally cooperate and downloaded the update. This update is intended to improve/lower charging times at the fast charging stations, so it probably won't change your life too much as you wait for it to be offered to you...
Yes I see that now, thanks. The title did not specify the version of update so I wasn't sure if it was specific to something or general question about OTA functionality.
TL: DR but you are prioritizing a bunch of features that have nothing to do with driving performance over RAS which totally does. I would (and did) pick full leather and RAS over everything else on your list of definites. I have the pano roof and gloss trim as well, from that list but the roof...
I wasn't planning to weigh in on this until I saw this image. FWIW I did have to replace one tire due to a nail but the others have 14K miles on them and look like I can get at least 3K more out of them. I have the Michelins.
Now, can you share how you obtained this image on your dash??
I am constantly getting updates to infotainment, legal notices, maps etc. so I also don't understand the point of the email. Who at Porsche thought it was a good idea to send this out? What a great way to stoke FOMO without offering anything specific.
I've driven San Diego to Monterey (along Route 1) and back and relied on A Better Route Planner, Electrify America and Plugshare apps. That was before CarPlay added some route planning features which might be worth using. My biggest takeaways: the car's range was always a bit better than the...
I must be reading this wrong as I cannot reconcile "lovely Taycan...7K miles without issue" as being "unlucky." The lady doth protest too much, methinks. A reminder: its just a car.
Definition of "worth" is a price that someone is willing to pay. So it's worth it for many people. "Return on Investment" however is a different matter. If that's what you meant, buy a Prius.
Sorry you are having this experience. As the OP I finally got Spotify integration working, but was underwhelmed by it, mostly because CarPlay works so much better. Occasionally the PCM will blackout and reboot itself while I am driving. I decided this is more entertaining than annoying (I...
It is and seems somewhat consistent with others. However I once saw ranges closer to 290 previously, which made me wonder. Important caveat: this was the original estimate from the car, however it did seem to be pretty close to actual once I completed the round trip and had a range of 40...
@14K miles it showed 253 mi range when I charged it overnight for a trip to LA from SD. Enough to comfortably go up and back without recharge.
I almost always charge at home and only to 85%.
BUT I am wondering, would it make any difference if I preheat the battery beforehand? I've never used...
I don't like either color. Really though, how can someone tell YOU what color is best for YOU? And, more importantly, why would you take advice from me, a total stranger? You are buying it for you, not me. You won't make a mistake if you buy the color YOU like best.
This is supposed to be...
