Did you have your seat belt fastened? My previous car, a 2017 Tesla MS, did this when I first got it. I finally figured out that if I didn't have my seat belt fastened and lifted myself up off the seat while reversing (to turn and look behind me), the car thought the driver seat was empty and...
Should be like 70-80 minutes, I think. During my test yesterday, I added about 18 kWh in 22 minutes (took it from about 50% to around 70%, stopping well before any 80% slowdown). You can extrapolate that rate for yourself, based on your battery size.
FWIW, I have a MY23 RWD without the 150kw charger option. I bought the Lectron adapter and successfully tested it at a SC site last night (Atlanta area). It was easy to use except for the short cable/parking issue. Charging at only ~49 kW is disappointing, of course, but I am still happy to have...
Just logging here that my 23 RWD lost its data connection (showing opposite aroows instead of LTE in PCM) on August 4. It finally came back on its own 11 days later. While I had initially hopped it would come back in a day or two, I pretty much gave up hope after a week. Was going to have the...
Sounds pretty darn expensive to me, compared with the depreciation I saw when shopping used 2021-23 Taycans in Atlanta a few months ago. I would think you could negotiate quite a bit off the asking price. The Carfax is not ideal but prob wouldn't be a deal killer for me if there was nothing...
I feel for you, brother! I bought my car under similar circumstances and around the same time as you. I was feeling pretty good after seeing my battery (and yours) all green the other day. Sucks that yours somehow flipped overnight! But I think you had the right attitude when you bought the car...
My old Model S used to do this all the time, with the added bonus of trying to smash my fingers in the retracting handle. At least your Taycan only chirps! With that said, I don’t think my Taycan has ever done this to me, so not sure why yours is doing it.
This is an older thread, but I wanted to log my opinion that Auto-Regen is a very nice feature. I drove a Model S for 4 years before upgrading to Taycan, and I was initially disappointed to lose 1 pedal driving (as I knew it). But now I am completely converted. I prefer coasting most of the...
What is different in PCM 4360 vs. 3882? I tried searching the forum for info but couldn’t find. Are there specific improvements that I should be excited to pay for? Also, if I use this tool to upgrade myself, will it potentially cause any issues with warranty coverage going forward? I’m very...
Bought the $9 cable and just ran the test. Result below. Thank you so much, CT14, for this peace of mind! My car is a 2023 RWD that I bought used about 2 months ago. Porsche NA had bought it back from the original buyer in mid-2024, after about 7k miles, due to "faulty HV battery."...
I let my 20-yo son take a turn behind the wheel with me in the passenger seat, just so he could see what it’s like. But I am not inclined to let him take the car out without me. My previous car was a Tesla Model S and it got hit by someone in a parking lot once. Even though it was just a small...
Good for you to be driving an EV at your age. I couldn’t convince my in-laws to try it. Hopefully you have a level 2 charger installed at home for daily use, so the challenge with stiff/heavy EA cables is not an everyday problem for you? I have been driving EV’s for 4+ years and I’ve only used a...
I have owned my 2023 base Taycan for about 3 weeks and I love it. But yesterday, I noticed something kinda weird. While driving, I felt an uncomfortable vibration in my chest and realized it was coming from the seat back. I turned off the seat ventilation and it went away. Tested both front...
Just dropped off my car for the ARB6 (battery) recall testing. First time going to the Porsche dealer for me, as I bought my 2023 base Taycan used. They said it would be a few days before the Taycan technician could get to it. I asked if I could just keep my car for now and bring it back when...
Interesting. Didn't even occur to me that OP might have been talking about leaving it in place while driving. I agree that should be a non-issue (as it was with my Tesla for the past 4 years here in Atlanta). I was thinking about it only for when the car is parked in the sun all day. But...
I'm potentially interested in this. Do the little clips stay attached to the shade when you take it out, or do they stay in the car? Looks like it is solely wedged in place regardless, but I'm just trying to decide whether I would actually use it. Would only be for the (pretty rare) occasions...
