Today I took my car to the Porsche Center in Katowice for the scheduled service campaigns ARB6, WRS1, and WRW1, which had been booked in advance for 14.00 PM. As soon as I arrived, I was met with a rather unprofessional response: they told me there was a “problem” because my car had been there before with multiple error messages, and that I hadn’t informed them about a previous vandalism incident (burnt rear door panel). It seemed like an excuse to avoid carrying out the campaigns.

In short: there was an initial attempt by the workshop to avoid carrying out the campaigns using a previous problem (vandalism and cluster errors) as an excuse, which is not acceptable. Technical campaigns (such as ARB6, WRS1, WRW1) are the manufacturer's obligation, and the authorized workshop must carry them out regardless of the car's history, except in cases where there is a safety risk or direct technical impediments, which is not the case. The car was previously inspected (inspection for license plates - legalization) and I have already driven it a good few millimeters...!

I explained the situation again and insisted they check the vehicle, which was parked outside. They took the key and checked the mileage. After that, they agreed to proceed with the service. I signed the service order and was told I could pick up the car in about 2.5 hours.

When I returned, they told me everything was fine — the battery was healthy — and advised me to keep charging between 20% and 80% until future campaigns allow full charging. So far, so good.

But here’s the issue: when I got home and checked the PPM system, all three campaigns still show as pending. Shouldn’t that information be updated immediately after the service is completed? It raises the question — were the campaigns actually performed, or has nothing been submitted to Porsche’s central system yet?

I believe that campaigns are supposed to disappear from the pending list as soon as they are completed and registered in the official Porsche system. This should happen relatively quickly, usually within 24 hours after the service is completed, provided that the service center has correctly submitted the data to the central Porsche system……

If campaigns still appear as pending after several hours or even a day, this could certainly indicate:

• The workshop has not yet submitted the service report to the Porsche system.

• There was a communication error between the service center and the central servers.

• The campaigns were not actually closed or registered as completed, despite what I was told verbally.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If campaigns can’t be completed, then no, they are not marked as completed.

And recall campaigns for batteries cannot be complimented because the final solution, the software, is not avaliable until 2nd half of 2025

Hi Chun, thanks in advance for the information, so it means that the information will not appear complete in the PPM until the final solution on 2 of 2025, that is, the car will have a few more battery campaigns until 2nd of 2025…

Seems like a very short period to check the battery. The porsche dealer booked my car in for a week and gave me a loan car to complete the battery campaigns and brake line replacement.

I can just add my experience (in Brno, Czechia) here:

My car was there for ARB6 update about a week ago (stayed there for a week with a charging port replacement and overall periodic checkup) and when I got it back the dealer said that I can now charge the battery to 100% and that the car might receive the campaigns and service maintenance data within 24hr-ish (which it did in a few hours).

I especially asked for the 100% charging and the dealer checked their system and said yes you can now charge to 100%. And that my batttery is in a good shape. While I got the letter from Porsche at that same day apologising that the battery sw update is delayed. So I keep charging to 80% for now, instead of my preffered 85% (unless I would drive a longer trip).

Just dropped off my car for the ARB6 (battery) recall testing. First time going to the Porsche dealer for me, as I bought my 2023 base Taycan used. They said it would be a few days before the Taycan technician could get to it. I asked if I could just keep my car for now and bring it back when it gets to the front of the queue, and they said no. Apparently, it has to be sitting onsite to move through their queue. So I am driving a loaner Panamera for probably a week. Seems like a dumb system, because I’m pretty sure the test only takes like an hour once they are ready to do it.

Mike - ditto here! Why take the car only to keep it in line. Seems archaic. In a day and age when phone systems offer to call you back when an agent is ready to speak with you, etc, it seems like an utter waste of money to give people loaner luxury sports cars for days on end. Let them drive their own cars! Unless of course the dealers get to charge Porsche extra for the warranty service because of the loaner. Hum....

Carlos-sorry if I'm asking a silly question but where can I see those screenshots for my car? I'm a new owner.

Thanks
David

In order for you to have access, you will have to open a PPN account and it is relatively easy to request access to the balcony, I will see where I have the web address so that you can fill out the application online and send it to them……and send it to you!

Just in case, I went now to check if the recalls had already been removed and apparently the Technical campaigns (such as WRS1, WRW1) have already been removed, with only the ARB6 campaign missing, as you can see in the screenshot below. They told me that they did everything... in the end, they did, but not everything... apparently the ARB6 campaign was not carried out this time, these guys from this Porsche dealership in Katowice are actually a joke in terms of service...!! Apparently the best thing I can do is go to another Porsche dealership and make an appointment to do this ARB6 campaign... otherwise it seems to me that I have to continue charging my battery only to 80%
The other two campaigns are no longer on my PPN, only there, when I booked, I booked to do three campaigns, after all they only did two and they informed me that they did everything... regrettable at last

There is currently no solution for ARB6 - they can assess the battery health but until the 'final' battery monitoring software is available (now reported to be late Q3 - September?) ARB6 will remain open.

Time to find a different service centre and report the whole matter to Pirsche CS.

Done today the arb6 control after the WRS1 60 days ago (2023 GTS)
On the invoice (taking also 2 years PA)I can see ARB6 control and reprogram BcMCe)
Battery Ok and no need to come back in 60 days for downloading datas like this time
Next step will be the new control software planed for instance in Q4.
My dealer told me that less than 10% of Taycan controled needed to change some cells.
Never told to limit charging at 80% but i’m used to do it, unless before a big travel or dc charging on highways where I can charge to 85-90%
At home 5,4 kwh 24a with PCC
