Today I took my car to the Porsche Center in Katowice for the scheduled service campaigns ARB6, WRS1, and WRW1, which had been booked in advance for 14.00 PM. As soon as I arrived, I was met with a rather unprofessional response: they told me there was a “problem” because my car had been there before with multiple error messages, and that I hadn’t informed them about a previous vandalism incident (burnt rear door panel). It seemed like an excuse to avoid carrying out the campaigns.
In short: there was an initial attempt by the workshop to avoid carrying out the campaigns using a previous problem (vandalism and cluster errors) as an excuse, which is not acceptable. Technical campaigns (such as ARB6, WRS1, WRW1) are the manufacturer's obligation, and the authorized workshop must carry them out regardless of the car's history, except in cases where there is a safety risk or direct technical impediments, which is not the case. The car was previously inspected (inspection for license plates - legalization) and I have already driven it a good few millimeters...!
I explained the situation again and insisted they check the vehicle, which was parked outside. They took the key and checked the mileage. After that, they agreed to proceed with the service. I signed the service order and was told I could pick up the car in about 2.5 hours.
When I returned, they told me everything was fine — the battery was healthy — and advised me to keep charging between 20% and 80% until future campaigns allow full charging. So far, so good.
But here’s the issue: when I got home and checked the PPM system, all three campaigns still show as pending. Shouldn’t that information be updated immediately after the service is completed? It raises the question — were the campaigns actually performed, or has nothing been submitted to Porsche’s central system yet?
I believe that campaigns are supposed to disappear from the pending list as soon as they are completed and registered in the official Porsche system. This should happen relatively quickly, usually within 24 hours after the service is completed, provided that the service center has correctly submitted the data to the central Porsche system……
If campaigns still appear as pending after several hours or even a day, this could certainly indicate:
• The workshop has not yet submitted the service report to the Porsche system.
• There was a communication error between the service center and the central servers.
• The campaigns were not actually closed or registered as completed, despite what I was told verbally.
Has anyone else experienced this?
