A couple years in and still love it.
  2. AC Performs Poorly in Hot Weather

I also live in socal and have had mine for two years with lots of hundred degree weather and no problems. It’s not instantly an icebox, but it does the job. (I also have the pano roof and no insulation). I suspect yours has an issue.
  3. My Paint to Sample (PTS) British Racing Green / Truffle Brown Taycan delivered today :-)

Looks beautiful. In a few years I might just get the electric cayman in that color scheme!
  4. First real OTA update for the Taycan 2020 and 2021 happening April 27th…

there’s nothing scary about that email. It’s just practical advice received by lots of us who bought the car when it first came out. Back then the servers often had trouble with initial logon. A server upgrade is GREAT news!
  5. If I reach 80 years old..........,

Yeah, stay away. I don’t want every other car to be like mine! But while this forum is a great place to come with problems, you’ll see all the polls and customer satisfaction reports are top notch.
  6. Operating Taycan while stationary and connected to charger

This. Whether it’s good or not is subjective, but like most consumer products there are some aspects that are adjustable and some that aren’t.
  7. Porsche should stay out of electric game!

It’s a funny comment, but not a great one. If my Porsche were a brick I might vent here but not hang on every bon mot. He deserves our compassion. Still, the original poster’s experience is an aberration. Porsche’s got game.
  8. Electric charging cover worth the 689 EUR - yes/no?

And the swipe is 98% reliable for me on the first try and 100% on the second. Classy.
  9. Electric charging cover worth the 689 EUR - yes/no?

Yep. It’s a classy touch on a classy car.
  10. Electrify America 101 and Range Lessons learned on first road trip

So two guys walk into a bar, a car guy and a tech guy. The car guy turns to the tech guy and says, ”I went on a road trip in my new car…”
  11. Is Patrick Anderson on this site? So much misleading information in this article

It’s just click bait to get himself some business. Yes, if you get all your electricity at high cost chargers, it will cost more than gas. He says he does that. Oookay. If you get it all at free chargers you’ll save money for sure. I pay for my electricity using home charging and save money...
  12. Security while driving your Porsche

I think that accurately describes many cities. ‘Crime ridden’ is subjective since crime rates are all a faction of what they were in the nineties, but there’s more crime in cities than suburbs and rural areas. in Southern California I’ve seen Bentley’s parked on the street in L.A., Glendale...
  13. Disaster! Spec missing the one thing I wanted. ????

I got the sport sound and I turn it on from time to time and enjoy it. I’d enjoy it a lot more if it could activate automatically. Pushing a button interferes with the illusion that it isn’t completely fake. ? It’s primarily a way to ease the transition for Porsche enthusiasts to the electric...
  14. Rear axle steering (RAS) - gimmick or?

To the original question: RAS is not a gimmick. It cuts your turning radius by a small but significant amount.
  15. Porsche Please Listen the Customers and change……

All of the things the original poster asks for seem pointless to me except for saved driving settings, which seems so obvious that I can’t believe Porsche doesn’t have it. I would ask for the car to lock when you walk away. The Cayenne also doesn’t lock when you walk away, requiring a touch...
  16. Greenpeace have stolen some 1500 car keys including Porsches…

No, he said their misdeeds were obvious. No sale.
  17. Do you use the power button or the park button & lock when you leave

Tip for new owners: to lock the car after turning it off, place your fingers on the rear door handle and wait. It seems to be checking whether the keys are in the car and is happier when they are farther away. It can’t be recalibrated (per the dealer) but got better with the update.
