No and apparently Porsche will not deliver a car to the UK without the battery fitted

Really? To Portugal (and to my knowledge also to other EU countries) Cars are arriving to dealers but can not be deliver to clients without a specific battery associated to the VIN by the factory

That’s what I was told by my dealer, my car build completed third week of June

Oh men, I’ve been checking my car every week ?

Anyway, my sales assistant has no clue regarding delivery time frames.

Does anyone affected by the shortage already received or knows someone that have received the battery?

Me too! First they told me last week of September, then first two weeks of October. Always with the caveat that they do not have any control on the process. The car was built July 15.

To control my anxiety, I’m expecting deliver to happen only on the first week of November. ??‍

If you need some “anxiety medication” have a look to the delivery times for new orders. It’s just crazy.

Had a message this evening from my Porsche salesman that my Taycan, built this week, is missing the 12V battery.

My car is still at the dealer with absolutely no news from Porsche. No timelines or anything.

Wow this is unreal, sitting around for 4 months waiting for a 12v battery? I thought the Burmester delay was bad but this is next level. My sympathy gents.

But really, nobody here has any updates on this?? I wish my car was not produced at all tbh, could’ve been a MY2023. Luckily it’s still a good deal otherwise I’d be getting my money back and going elsewhere.

The software uPdate will make your car MY23 when it arrives if not already applied. Physical production of MY23 cars started in July 2022. You aren't missing out.

From the previous feedback one of the posters in the UK received, the 12V battery supply was supposed to recommence from week 34...but to get them retro-fitted to cars already off the line they were told could take a further 8 weeks.

So this could mean up to week 42 (w/c 17 October)

Yep, had the same info, but so far it seems nobody has received their cars retro-fitted. It’s even scarier. I’m expecting mine to be happening only on november
