Spec looks really, really good on that, and Neptune is a very underrated colour.

One thing - if you're likely to use the Porsche charger at home, you need a 32A cable to get 7kW. And/or if you're using untethered chargers elsewhere the 16A cable noted wouldn't be ideal.

Might be worth asking if you can have a 32A one....though it is something you can get later and wouldn't have to be from Porsche. (Not really sure why Porsche ever had that as an option).

Get them to put the car on a ramp for you to show you the underside (look for dents and gauges) and the inner shoulders of the tyres.

When are you picking it up?

Enjoy it!

Thanks! Neptune certainly isn't for the shy! My former choice was a much more conservative Volcano Grey (this one), so Neptune Blue is quite a bold change for me.

Thanks also for the advice re: charging - I actually plan to book tommorrow for an install of a charger. Any recommendations? I was planning on going with Octopus (I'm already with them) and choose Intelligent Go, although there's a two week timescale for installs. I'd like to get soemthing that works with solar (I may get solar in the very near future), so probably... zappi?

Also, why would they have changed the cable to a 16A rather than 32A anyway? Yeah, I did wonder about asking for a 'more standard' cable, but it's all really an area I know nothing about... yet! I'm going to have to make do with paying for local chargers and a 3-pin plug at home until then! Fortunately I don't have any long distances to do for a few weeks and I still have access to another car.

Friday is when I'm due to collect. However, the weather is looking.... shocking (Storm Éowyn) and I'm going to have to drive 280 miles home!

My only tip to you if you do not have ACC is to leverage Auto Regen feature in stop and go traffic. Regen button on the steering wheel if push and hold to enable Auto Regen that will slow the car automatically if it sees another car in front as long as you are off the gas pedal.
Almost missed this - I didn't know that at all! Really helpful to know, thanks.

You got it, enjoy the car and come back with more questions.

Let me throw another simple one at you, that might be helpful to you without having ACC, that I just learned about. Very underrated Limiter function is helpful to obviously limit the car speed automatically, but if enabled on say a long downhill, the car will automatically keep the speed at the set limit without pressing the brakes.

I had a 32A commando outlet in my garage so just use the Porsche supplied charger (have wall mounted it).

I'm on Octopus Intelligent Go - it syncs directly with the car so the choice of charger wasn't influenced with that. It may be worth getting one that is fully compatible with Octopus though, so if you get another EV it would still work well.

Enjoy the car! (I very nearly bought a Neptune GTS...my car came for sale just before pulling the trigger).
