A little off topic, does anyone know what the on board AC 22kw charger option is for ? My dealer strongly recommended me to order it with my coming CT. I have a 32A at home (240v not 3 phases). How is it going to help me ?

Sorry, my fault, forgot to say that I also tried a 22kw charger next to the 3.7 one. Had a 77% charge and the car accepted 13.76 kw.
Ok so that sounds like everything is OK and the issue as I suggested is at home with the installation.

Many public AC charge points are 22kW.

You can have a multiphase electrical supply installed at home (3 phase) which in UK / Europe would provide 22kW.

To make use of this you would need a) 22kW AC charger spec'd on the car, and b) a 22kW EVSE - e.g. Porsche Mobile Charger Connect (not the Porsche Mobile Charger + (9.6kW max)).

Its an expensive option and not much use if you don't have the appropriate supply at home (nor is it needed for overnight charging). In the public domain if you are well served with DC charging then no need to waste money on it. Each country is different - better / worse public infrastructure - so wise to consider what is available to you and where you are likely to travel to.

It has nothing to do with the socket.

The requirement is to have the 22kW AC onboard charger spec'd for your car and a suitable EVSE which can manage 22kW. PMCC will do this and supply up to 22kW assuming you have 3 phase supply at home.

Public chargers as I've mentioned will provide 22kW and can be an advantage if you have the 22kW AC onboard charger.

Very good info to know...My 22 CT4 arrives next spring and want to ensure my 240V socket placed by home owner previously will work. She had a Tesla Model 3 so hope so!

I got some news. I’ve decided to buy a new wallbox, a Garo GLB+ if that says anything to you guys.
Will post another update when the wallbox is installed, hopefully this week!

Hi

Got my 4s Cross Turismo 2 days ago, and I absolutely love it! Porsche really nailed this!

I do have one questions though.

1. The car charges really slowly. I have looked everywhere to try to fix this issue. Have you guys a solution for this as it takes approximately 30 hours to fully charge when we have a 22kw capable wallbox?
(We also have the Mobile Charger, takes equally as long).

2. The interior alarm keeps triggering, is this an isolated issue or are any of your experiencing the same problem?

Thanks for your help,
//Nicholas
I have the same alarm issue. New 4s CT.
Compartment alarm has triggered. Short term you can double tap the lock button. Compartment alarm will then not be activated. Will swing by PC to have it fixed.
Is it solved for you? What caused it? What solved it?

I have to turn off Interior Surveillance every time I leave the car. According to my Porsche Dealer, the car has a faulty ultrasound sensor, which causes the alarm to go off really often. I have booked an appointment for them to fix it, first available time was unfortunately was at the 24th of September.

Is this specific to your car or a wider issue with the ultrasound?

You can toggle this on / off within the PCM to avoid being prompted each time.

I’ve tried doing that, but the interior alarm kept going off, so it was easier to leave it on.

Yes, been there done that, then thinking it is off, but then single click locking the car still set off the interiour alarm. Have to double click leaving the car, watch the red blinking light go completely out before I leave.
