A new problem has occured for me.
”ParkAssist not available. Driving permitted, inspection necessary.”

Has this happened for you guys as well?
Probably an intermittent / random warning which if so will clear itself?

Yeah, might be. The warning was on for the entire roughly 20-minute trip, but haven't had the opportunity to drive the car again. Will start the car later on today to see if the problem persists.

Seen it sometimes with either moisture or dirt on the sensors at start up - generally will clear. If its a white information message then nothing to worry about, orange perhaps take a look, and let's not even thing about red!

We live near the water in seattle so when there is a lot of marine layer the sensors are all covered in moisture and multiple warnings - clears up!

Might be the moisture. We have lots of frost right now in the mornings so it was probably that.

I really don’t want to delete the app, and feel like I shouldn’t have to. I also feel like I shouldn’t be woken up at 3:30am by a faulty interior alarm. Quite astonishing Porsche can’t come up with a fix for this. Are they even trying?
Does this only happen when locked?

Is this a Porsche specific problem or a Seattle-proper immediately by the water problem? I've lived in the Seattle area for decades (Redmond, Everett, Mill Creek, Lynwood) and the only time my parking assist on any car through errors was then I forgot to reconnect the sensors when I removed the bumper to install a radar/laser defense system).

We live exposed to the sound and marine layer. So think it is the extreme environment. Our old car would sometimes have sensors not working but way less sensors. I’ll keep the thread posted as we drive more in the early morning! Alarm issue persists - randomly goes off in the middle of the night. I need to see if turning off the inside sensor is sticking.

I have really enjoyed reading this thread and learned a lot from all of your experiences. I have had my CT4 for about a month and had the alarm issue right away. Pressing the fob twice seems to work for me, but I have never opened the connect app when the car was locked. Also, very early on, the sound for the turn signals, parking sensors and assistance systems stopped working while they systems work and I can see the visuals. I posted a thread on this, but it seems this is a one-off problem with my car.

Having said all this, I really like this Porsche a lot - it is really fun to drive.

Update on the alarm issue. I was at the dealership yesterday to get the interior motion sensors replaced by a new revised version (has a new part number) as they got a message from the factory. Obviously the original one has a production or design flaw. So far no more false alarms. Will keep you updated.
