All manufacturers should really agree on a uniform position for the charging flap.
Ideally, left rear to match Tesla and many others.
It's daft having front, front left, front right, bonnet, rear, rear right etc.
And I suspect many people with a garage, prefer to reverse in and their charger is likely nearer the garage door than the back of the garage.

Better yet - standardize on wireless charging, which would have the added benefit of forcing people to park within their parking spots, instead of across spots, which sometimes is due to charge port location, other times because people can't, or don't care to, drive their cars with any more precision than riding a grazing cow, like this Bolt for example.

It took me 20 months to get a custom order Taycan in the US. Given Porsche only allocated 256 units of 2023 Turbo CT to the US market, that's approximately one per dealer. Porsche and their dealers like playing exclusivity games.

It sounds like you're more of a Lambo customer than Porsche.

I'm not a big fan of Lambo designs, actually. I love the way my Taycan looks for instance, and the promo picture shown in the (now taken down) pages looks way sexier than the bulky, fake-panel car pictures we've been seeing. I think this car is going to look great. I do like cars that don't just look like another Honda Civic if you take the logo off, but I don't want them to look like a batmobile.

I personally like elegant but subdued, like the original Model S, or Taycan (on the verge of too flashy). I couldn't care less if Honda copied the Taycan design for their next Civic. Full disclosure, I like driving "sleeper cars", ones that look like regular cars but can out-accelerate a hypercar, and can corner like it's on rails.

The pics were of the old ICE variant. It will have 911 992.2 gts t-hybrid like face, with the shark fins for active cooling. It will have taycan like headlights. No real side vents on the mules; so likely no side vents for base, s, and gts. Maybe will be there for the gt4 / gt4rs eventually.

So are most of the stats i suspect. And so are the prices displayed; all from the ICE variant.
Porsche's new strategy is higher prices, lower volume. So I wouldn't expect it to start below 100k.
Judging by the laps it's done at nurburing, it's also quite a bit faster than the numbers that were on the page before it was taken down.

They were unfinished mockup pages. So some detials may be true, some not, some incomplete. The pages were a work in progress and not ment to be visible.

But the fact that they are working on it, means that the announcment is imminent.

Porsche historically aligns major model reveals with international auto shows or dedicated standalone events to maximize media impact.

Taycan was announced Frankfurt Motor Show in September, which got rebranded to IAA mobility. So they could unveil it there, IAA Transportation (Hanover): September 15–20, 2026.

Alternatively, alined with how the Cayenne and Panamera were announced in November, they could announce it in november at the Los Angeles Auto Show dates (Nov 20–29) where porsche will participate.

I think this is going to be a tough sell. Why would anyone want a 'quiet' boxter/cayman when the existing models are so engaging? I loved my street Cayman - most fun car to drive I've ever had - because it was light and tossable, and I really miss the exhaust sound. The new version won't have any of this. I don't know who they think their customer is.

There are several of us who don't want to hear an engine but want a smaller, fast and great handling EV. There is no substitute for instant torque and the only thing I want to hear is when the tires are about to fail.

Ah, that's a bummer. I suppose I just need to wait to see the final car before making judgement. I do hope it has a nice curvy design (I suppose it won't have the rear spoiler that was shown in the picture either).

I do wonder though, IF the GTS still sits at 3.5 0-60 or slower, if Porsche is purposely holding back on power to prevent it from encroaching on the performance of a 911.
